Default Pls help me identify this hose

Hi gents,

I found myself struggling to identify a hose for my late 2005 Jag STR, and would really appreciate of you guys have me some hints.

This ******* over here. I marked it with "Mein Schlauch"
My trusted mechanic will be off for another couple of weeks and the local Jag dealer isn't available either.

I'd rather try to order the part sooner than later but can't really tell, where it s heading. It goes down from the Thermostat outlet pipe diagonally to the lower end of the radiator, to what looks like an intercooler pump from Bosch, but it s located above the DCCV. From what I remember, the intercooler pump should be found below the DCCV, but maybe I'm wrong. Tried to read the part number with an endoscope, but no luck either.

Any of you guys have had any experience with this?

Some say it should be C2C28125, which is currently very hard to find, at least in Europe, and looks nothing like the hose I m looking for.

Appreciate your feedback
Have a good one!

I replaced that same hose a couple years ago. It does go around to the intercooler and connects to a lower hose. The intercooler pump should be attached to the intercooler itself sitting in a rubber mount

Thanks for the quick reply Scott!
Any chance you remember the part number, so I can try to find my equivalent?

I'm have the feeling like mine is going straight into the pump. Tried to look up the codes I found on related hoses, but no luck.

it does go to the aux pump on one end. Being you have an R supercharged it has a third leg going to the intercooler. Take off all the bottom shields to access it. I will see if i heve record of the hose

I found several part numbers depending on VIN. The latest is XR852861. Does your hose look like this?

The earlier version is XR818938 that has been superseded by XR837415 it looks to be for the 2003-2004 cars.

Do you have the last 6 digits of your VIN?

It doesn't look like that one.
A friend of mine will try to repair the hose as an interim solution, by cutting out the punctured part and using a short pipe to consolidate it.

It seems that even if we identify the correct hose, chances are the order will take a while, due to poor availability of parts here in continental Europe.

Thanks again guys, your support is very much appreciated!

According to JPART you have the latest VIN for this hose which is what I posted above?

Can you post a picture of your hose? I have checked with Jaguar factory parts and it says that is the correct hose too? Says it fits years 2005-2008 which was the end of S-Type production.

I owed you guys an update. I went to the local Jag dealer and ordered XR852861, they confirmed compatibility and delivered the hose.

I was about to go ahead and swap the old one with the new one myself, but it still looks too thin and short compared to my old broken one.
So I'll still have to wait till next week for my mechanic to get back. We will remove my old hose, try to figure out wtf is going on.

Maybe the previous owner installed some thicker hose instead, but this one still seems to short.

As an interim solution a friend and I cut patched the old hose with a metal tube connector, so I can drive the car around just enough not to mess up the battery and the electronic modules. The car spat some crazy errors on my Launch Elite tool, but everything went back to normal after the battery got charged properly.

I will keep u guys posted!

Thanks for coming back and I do hope it is the right hose?
Do you have the old hose out where you can do a good comparison?
