Default Carbon Ceramic Brakes on 2020 F Type SVR - How do get away from this?

Hi All,

I'm trying to figure out how to get away from this set up down the road when its time to change pads, etc... I've been to the local dealer and they were not any help with my options other than telling me to go after market.

My questions for those that have had experience with this situation, knowing that Jag will not replace just pads, they replace rotors and pads, which is $18k-$20k for front and same for the rear, so looking at $40k which is absolutely stupid to pay...

Questions:
1) Could I just replace pads and use same Carbon Ceramic Rotors??
2) What is aftermarket option that isn't an arm, leg, left ******** and a right eye to purchase?

3) Could I remove the current set up and sell it to someone that is looking for this set up???

Appriciate your throughts on this from your experience in advance!

Note, I have 25k miles and I'm currently sitting at 9mm all around, when new is 10mm, so I have some time, BUT I want to know my options.

Some owners have retrofitted the non CC brake systems on their cars but can be cost prohibitive as the mounting points of the Brembo CC calipers vs standard are completely different...the steering knuckles will need to be replaced. If its any consolation to you, CC brakes should last you the for a very long time if you aren't tracking the car.

Thank you. What is a long time? or based on miles?

So if I wanted to change set up, it would be like, changing knuckles AND Calipers, Rotors and Pads sort of deal?

Plan to replace the pads when the time comes. Do it yourself or at an indy. Not rocket science. As a side note, don't let anyone tell you that the rotors need to be changed unless they've WEIGHED them.

The carbon ceramics could be swapped out, but you'll be "cheapening" the car (and you'll miss that left nut).
