Default 2024 Jaguar F-Type Cranberry Harvest Tour

Even though the illustrious RickyJay cannot be with us this year we just had to keep the annual FType tour going. Having learned much from the master Dave Sperry and my wife and I have pulled together another tour. This year we are on the outer part of Cape Cod and then on to Newport Rhode Island for four days of adventure. Today we began our first of two nights at the Chatham Bars Inn and begin the adventure in earnest in the morning with stops at Nauset Lighthouse, the Marconi Museum and the Cape COD National Seashore.
Saturday will also include a number of fun stops and a visit to a real cranberry harvest!

Here are some photos of the beginning get together and we will have a few other folks joining us tomorrow morning that could not be at the kickoff tonight. More to come. We even had the Northern Lights join us!

Jaguar might be taking its name off countless dealerships and stopping production of our favorite automobile (OK, one of our favorites) but there is no stopping our group of merry men and women! I am sorry I could not be with you this year (indeed I am, in spirit) but am so very proud of what you’ve put together and keeping the events alive with the snap, crackle and pops of our engines and the camaraderie of the group.

Godspeed!
RJ52

P.S. Great pics—looking forward to seeing many more—and logo.

Please tell me that's not a BMW in that line of F-Types!

Yes it is. He’s the black sheep of the group. We took pity on him. He’s Dave Sperrys brother!

Full day today! Cranberry bogs, beautiful gardens and of course cars. We have left Cape Cod after two wonderful days and now are in Newport RI till Monday. More adventures in store.

The final full day of the adventure began with breakfast at the hotel and then we were off to go sailing on an Americas Cup 12 Meter Racing Yacht Valiant. Valiant was defeated by Intrepid in the 1970 Defender Trials but she had a very successful career for many years after. She was also one of the last wooden 12 Meters ever built in the US. The sailing was great, even though a tad chilly in Newport RI. 6-10 knot winds and light overcast sky’s.

Following our sail we headed to the Audrain Museum to view the impressive collection that featured cutting edge designs in their respective eras.

Then on to the Breakers Mansion for lunch and a tour. After our tour everyone separately toured the town until we all met for our final dinner. Tomorrow many of us will have breakfast and then depart in our seperate ways to our home states. I will post the full itinerary and stops in a few days. I believe all had a great time and it was great to bring everyone together again for another year. On to 2025!

PHENOMENAL!

These memories will last a lifetime.

Thank you for the FaceTime call tonight and seeing all the happy faces. (I also enjoyed making an impromptu announcement last night while you all assembled in the hotel lobby).

Lastly, I also appreciated 3 separate friends sending me their views of this yesterday:

🙏❤️ to you all!
Jay
