Default Water in trunk under battery

Anyone have any ideas where this could be coming from, all the rubber looks like new and the carpet in the trunk is perfect.

Maybe that is where all the electrical gremlins go to pee.

The water is in the Battery Tray?

1. definitely water - no cracks in the battery case
2. possibly spilled when the battery was topped up
3. leaking body seam (wing to floor)
4. detached drain tube
5. missing / defective rubber grommet
6. missing battery Tray fixing bolt allowing water through

Hello

I am having this very same problem. It's definitely water. Also it's not from the battery. Can I get some guidance as to where the detached drain tube is at?.

A common fault-even had it myself years ago.
There is a TSB on leaks but I can't find it now

It is either the riveted seams left and right corner below window . Push on them with the thumb. . To clean up properly wipe of with alcool then use some silicone to seal.
or the water drain at the rear lights full of debris , water beeing stuck and entering through the seal into the boot. Carpet loosened lights unscrewed 3x 10mm unhook connectors inspect , clean up fit back in.
sunroof drains to the rear go down through the C pillar down past the trunk . If you take out the side carpet you csn see drain hoses in each upper rear corner
