Front end looks nice and aggressive and love the side profile. Not completely sold on the rear yet.

Absolutely lovin it
I have to agree with Jayt2 though on the V6 engine....It reallydoes beg for a V8 growl with a Supercharger whine from it.
Having said that Jayt2......we seem to be able to squeeze serious amounts of power from much smaller engines than you guys do, so who knows?
True...but...but...but...can you mimic a V-8 growl with a V-6 ???
My last car was a 1986 Olds 442 with a moderately built Olds 350 in it. Had a good growl to it.

it's supercharged: Jaguar C-X16: gallery - BBC Top Gear
and from: Look out Porsche, it's the Jaguar C-X16 - BBC Top Gear
so 380hp + 95hp = 475hp; 332lb ft + 173 lb ft = 505 lb ft
the front end looks a little busy to me, but I like the rest of it.

Up front there's a 3.0-litre supercharged V6 engine producing 380bhp and 332lb ft of torque. But that's not all. Integrated into the eight-speed gearbox is a motor generator mounted behind the seats that draws power from a battery pack (itself charged through brake energy regeneration, like KERS on an F1 car) that provides 95bhp and 173lb ft of boost via a steering-wheel-mounted button. A boost button, if you will. Boost buttons are good.
0-62mph takes 4.4 seconds, top speed is 186mph and the acceleration from 50-75mph takes just 2.1 seconds. Should you run out of juice, the C-X16 can travel up to 50mph on electric power alone while CO2 emissions sit at just 165g/km.

I don't know if the production version will have the hybrid "push to pass" system though as it might push the price out of the targeted range. The supercharged V6 should provide ample power given the lighter weight of the car. I would imagine the usual tricks of a pulley upgrade, high-flow cats and an ecu upgrade should get the power up to 425-450 hp. Putting the XKR-S engine in it would make it a real rocket but I don't think Jaguar would want to steal thunder from the XKR-S.
