Talking Top Gear XF-R Vs M5

To continue on the Jaguar commentary from this weeks Top Gear ( the best TV show ever! ) here is the XF-R vs the M5:

http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=8JinEldh7kQ

I wont ruin the outcome but to add 2 things that add to the XF-R is that 1) its much easy to make go quicker, no buttons or settings to dial in as in the M5 and no revving the hell out of it 2) it gets much better fuel economy

I have to say, I'd take the XF any day, and twice on Sunday I didn't initially like the XF but it has quite grown on me. A worthy successor to the S-type. Maybe the new XJ will grow on me the same way. I'd like to see an E63 AMG vs. XFR comparo. Those would be the two I would have difficulty choosing between.

the XF has grown on me too, havent driven an R at all but driven a supercharged for enough of a time to say its a great car but doesnt have the personality i love my S for.

i think everything about E63s is hot except for the fuel economy lol it would beat the XF-R in a drag race im 99% sure, handling might be another story and the body is being switched

seems to me that top gear is not showing too much of the driver side of the car when doing burnouts, same as they did on the str or the xjr when they reviewed it back in the day.

are there any facts about the diff unit in this car? at least magneticly link it up to 30 mph like bmw does on the 7's.

Anyone else thought the newest top gear was absolutely hilarious? The VW commercials, plus that aston was nice at the end

The last episode of the season kinda disappointed me, im not a fan of the Vantage really. It sounds good but thats about it. Maybe in V-12 form it would help Its too baby-astonish for me though, but a DBS is another story!

I really liked the rally challenge they did, maybe my favorite bit of the whole season. I think it was episode 6 this season

And just think, that car "is like sitting on a fat dog". Oh what a choice of words. ONly the British can come up with things like that. I still want one. Hmmmmm. Got a few I am looking at.
