Round #2 of the Mighty Milk Trans Am Series will be held this coming Sunday, April 19.
Winner of the season's first race Greg Pickett will be piloting the #6 Mighty Milk Jaguar XKR when the green flag drops. Among the field of 20 cars, including Corvette, Camaro, Mazda, Mustang and Monte Carlo, will be a total of four fully race prepared Jaguar XKRs.
For additional Series information and a schedule of this weekend's festivities at VIR, please go to www.sccatrans-am.com
When I find out what Mighty Milk is, I'll let you know. I plan on buying lots of it.

Check out the in-car video.
I think the date is wrong, perhaps I'm not the only one who needs a drink of MUSCLE MILK

Well, I couldn't get away for this weekend, so I hope someone else who does will write it up.
The #6 XKR is on the pole by about 1.5 sec. Pickett has some other shoe driving the car.
In a related note, the Apex FIA GT3 Jaguar XKR's that whiteSTR turned us on to are supposed to run again this year. They did in fact roll the stones at several races in '07 and '08, with unimpressive results and no details I could find about their S/C engine reliability and consistancy. Alot of races they didn't finish, or attend, I don't know the reasons.
The BIG news is the link below. Rocketsports GT2 / LeMans Series car is being built, with the new 5.0 Litre Jaguar N/A engine, direct injection. Just like the ancient Chevy Can Am ! It's supposed to be rolling by july, at Mid Ohio.
Note at the bottom of the article is a comment about Rocketsports providing aftermarket parts at some point. I hope they're not just talking about decals, the car is fugly.

Subject: Sunday Driving
Message: At the VIR Trans Am today:
Klaus Graf in the #6 XKR was dispatched to the end of the field after failing tech inspection for a wing height infraction. No pole for Jaguar.
By lap 11, he had carved his way through the field and taken the lead, holding on to win the race by .5 sec.
I was stuck at home, and watched the Indy Car Long Beach Grand Prix. Outside of track position gains through pit strategy, I think I saw three passes in the entire race. Worse yet, the only skin Danica showed were her hands...which capably guided her to a well earned fourth place.
I think we missed the better show.

How did I miss this thread??!!?
That in-car race was awesome! He was able to point and shoot that cat anywhere he wanted it to go, beautiful! And it sounds like a screamin' beast too...reminded me of hitting the end of the straightaways, valves floating to the point of complete engine silence (NEVER lift) and then roaring back to life through the corners sucking my backside into the Kirkey cushion!
My chrome horn would have been dark red with blood by the time I was done with it, man that guy is clean.![Embarrassment](https://www.jaguarforums.com/forum/images/smilies/redface.gif)
I wish every race on TV was 90% in-car with no commentators...If you need an explanation, you'll never understand it anyway!
Thanks for sharing that JTO.
