Just waiting for the new rivets I've ordered now. Mostly for the undertray, as they were all single use, on mine, so I needed new, and also a couple of the larger wheel arch ones, which are also on their way, because I managed to damage a couple of them. Could use one of them, but one split, so thought I would buy a few.

I'm pleased that it is fixed now, and I'm working on the sounder itself, for a total fix, probably impossible, but in the meantime I've been pondering the wiring for fuse 3. What was in the mind of a designer, that can link such massively different systems to the same fuse? The list as I have it now, is front fogs, tell tale illumination for both front and rear fogs, even though rear fogs still work, but no tell tale, headlamp levelling, ignition +ve (As described in vehicle care, though car still worked, so I'm not sure what that is?), intelligent security sounder, and coolant auxiliary pump relay for heater matrix. The pump has it's own fuse, number 17, if I recall, so that was confusing, having checked 17.

I can sort of buy the fact that headlamp levelling, fogs, and fog lamp tell tales, are somewhat related, so I would not have a gripe about those, but how on earth does anyone think it is okay to put the security sounder on that same circuit, and then, to add insult to injury, they put the heater pump relay on that same circuit too! If someone had told me, before actually doing this, and finding out that this is the case, I would have replied, are you kidding me, that cannot be correct. Heating all bundled up with all that lighting, don't be silly!?

Wheel arch liner and under tray refitted, so all sorted now. Found the exact same plastic pop rivets for a Jeep at a tiny fraction of the price for Jaguar OEM. Had no pop rivet gun, that would accept the thickness of the shaft, even if I used the gun without the head, so I found a you tube video of how to do it with a sheet with a hole in it, and a pair of angled pin nose pliers. Worked an absolute treat.
