Hello fellow members. This is my first post.
I have been the lucky and proud owner of a 1995 X300 3.2 for eight years now and yesterday, for the very first time, it refused to start. The car cranks okay, but will not sing into life. Having owned the car for the years I have, I knew instantly that there was a problem. My question would be in the hope that somebody (many people) out there in the community can offer me some technical direction. The car is sparking in all six cylinder ports and delivering fuel. The rev counter is showing life when cranking, but it just doesn't sound right. I felt uneasy about prolonged cranking, but on the third crank allowed the starter to turn for approximately 12-15 seconds (the car would normally start after 1 second of crank!). It has covered 120 000 miles. Any input will be greatly appreciated. Many thanks in advance.
