Your very own regional coordinator is living near Crewe, retired but worked for the railways for 40 years.

Hi , Also new NW Member from Wigan area land of the pie eaters.
Recently got my first roadworthy Jag an XJ6 Sport 3.2. I had previously owned an XJS project but rust got the better of me.

Hi all,

I'm a new member & live on the Wirral. My speciality is electronics & engine management issues, as well as general fault diagnosis-I spent over 20 years as an electronics repair technician & have electronic test equipment such as power supplies, multimeters & oscilloscope etc.

Also have a huge amount of general car tools & have done all sorts of mechanical jobs-apart from welding!

I'm dedicated to doing the best home repairs possible for the minimum amount of expense, while still maintaining quality-there's always a much better value for money repair method than just putting the car into the main dealer every time there's an issue.

Hope to be able to pass on my Jag experience & help forum members solve problems quickly at minimum expense-it is possible to run these great cars & keep them well-maintained without blowing large sums of money, which means you've got more left in your wallet for petrol to drive them instead

Cheers

Alex

Alex,

All input and experience welcome - especially with electronics!

Check the UK Region Master List in this thread:

https://www.jaguarforums.com/forum/u...-thread-80009/

Names and locations listed there.

(I bought an X300 at Three Counties in Moreton on the Wirral in 2001. Did over 60K almost trouble free miles in it)

As the UK Coordinator, could I ask where people in the North West might like to meet up ?

We have to be careful if organising anything these days, (legal liability etc), but arranging for people to meet at a suitable location with a cafe sounds reasonably OK. Suggestions please.

My suggestion - I went on an MG Midget/AH SPrite Owners Club run the other day, and we stopped at a place called Barley on the side of Pendle Hill. There is a cafe and toilets there, (couple of pubs too). Approx north-west of Barrowford.

I should be able to manage that. (I can nearly walk there from home!)
I don't know when you are planning this, however, bear in mind that this location is in a valley on the east side of Pendle Hill and can very quickly get cut off in the event of snow fall.
Beautiful little village though.

Not yet, would anyone like to propose one?

Weekend would be nice, Sundays any good for everyone? (Tend to be a bit quieter?)
