Hello all!

Blackpool here.....

Just purchased an X350 XJR and I must say I'm feeling rather nervous as it's the most complex car I have owned so far. I collect it on Wed, so I will report back after a few days.

Default Local Garage

Hi I have a 2005 X type diesel estate and am looking for a cheap and reliable garage close to Southport. I need to fix my air con which could be an electric problem - fix my rear glass tailgate door which keeps opening - and fix my drivers door which sticks and will not open every so often. Any suggestions from anyone in Merseyside / Lancashire of a garage they can trust?
Apart from these problems I really like my X-Type.

Hi I am in Southport and looking for someone to do work on my X-Type 2005 Diesel estate. Air Con was replaced last year but the garage says there is now an electrical problem that means it is not working they suggested the whole wiring loom needs replacing but did not have confidence in them. My glass tailgate door keeps opening and the garage said the swtch needs replacing or it could be an electrical problem? My drivers door is jamming. Can you help with this? Thanks

I use jag autos http://www.jagautos.com/ in liverpool.

They are jag specialists but very friendly, honest and cheap.

I needed a rear brake calliper fitting along with pads (no winding in tool and hate bleeding brakes) so called in as i was passing to get a quote, i think he charged me £40 and did the work there and then.#

address is

Unit C1
Langham Street
Liverpool

Hi Guys,

Just joined the forum, I am from Ormskirk, I have a 1997 XJR8, 1967 MK2 ( daimler version) and a (in pieces) 1997 XJC coupe,

Did anyone ever sort a meeting ? I am up for it if there is one,

There is a motorama in Ormskirk this Sunday 23rd August if anyone is interested

I am after a XJ40 engine and manual gearbox for my XJC if anyone knows somewhere near by that might have one

In return you'll get a proper welcome and some useful advice on posting to the forum.

Hope the weather is kind for the Ormskirk Motorama.

Not quite North West but how about a trip out to Harewood Hillclimb for the final event of the season on September 22nd - a good day out with some interesting cars to see and Motorsport to watch. I'm competing on the 22nd (not in the Jag!) and it would be great to see anyone there, parking together in one of the car parked should be possible if there are a few people who want to go.

Details are on the Harewood website - Harewood Hillclimb - Homepage
