Hi Hewmatt
Any idea on (1) why you want a Jaguar and (2) what model do you think you want ? Reason I ask is because the car you show is an early XK (1996), and these can suffer from a number of issues that you might find costs you a substantial amount of money to fix.
So is your budget about £3500 ? And do you want the sportier car, or would a saloon suit you ? Year for year, and mileage for mileage, a saloon is usually cheaper, mainly because many more were made.
Give us more background info and better advice can be given. Have you joined any of the Jaguar clubs ?

Mileage on that one is pretty high - I'd want to see a comprehensive service history, to be sure that it has been well maintained. And definitely would want to know that the timing chain tensioners and water pump impeller (both made of plastic that degrades) have been replaced with the later all-metal types. If they haven't been done, budget £1000 to get them upgraded.

Looks a nice car, it could be great. Whilst the outside looks in great condition you need to check the usual, rust , service history. By 138K miles it will have had thermostat and water pump and quite likely tensioners etc. Should have needed a few suspension bush replacements too. I note a TN postcode ? If so perhaps you should take a trip to the Moat at Wrotham on 9th of July for the next South east meeting of the xkec. A few cars to see and plenty of free advice
