Hi all - I am at my wits end with my Jag. I have had a chirping noise in my wheels for a long time. Several trips to a garage and had the front hub replaced, brake pads replaced, and a general service. Each time the noise, which sounds all for the world like a chirp, would disappear for a period of time. But like the bad penny it return. It happens at about 10mph, and is constant, until I brake or turn left or right and then it vanishes.
I am not able to get into the car parts to check them due to disabilities, but would be grateful for your thoughts.
I have scoured the internet and see that the bearings could need re-seated or they have lost lubrication.
Thanks all

When you say 'constant', it doesn't alter with increase in speed? I was going to suggest surface rust on the disc or the edge contacting the disc shield but this does increase with speed.
Hi after thinking about it - it does get quicker with speed. It almost sound as though something on the disc is rubbing every time the wheel goes round.
I appreciate your thoughts so far and sorry for posting in the wrong place.
You call it a 'chirp'. If it's the disk rubbing, the sound is like a 'bacon slicer' but as you're 25 years younger than me you may not be familiar with these ancient devices!
The problem with it stopping when you brake or turn is it's then impossible to take the vehicle to the garage to demonstrate the problem. However, I'm surprised they haven't considered this possibility.
Are you sure it is the front wheels?
I had a similar experience on my X Type; it was the reluctor ring on the left rear wheel making contact with the ABS sensor.
Corrosion had made it expand very slightly, enough to just touch. Fitted a washer to the sensor and it was fine after that.
