Hi Stuart,
I have personally looked into setting up an insurance company link to gain us a discount but when I looked into the figures I could gain a similar saving by shopping around based on word of mouth, or comparison websites.
You will get a lot of UK members responding to your query with their recommendations for insurance of a Jag - I would suggest following them up as they will give you leads to where the best insurance deals currently lie.
In my case my X-Type used to be with Hastings as they had the best deal for me with 7 years discount, and were great when I was involved in a minor accident. My XJ is currently with Century21 who gave me the best deal whilst I build up my no claims for it as a second car.

I've found the same with my Jaguar which is a daily driver and used for business. The various clubs receive a commission from members they introduce to insurance companies which is their incentive but the same or better rates can be obtained directly by negotiation.
As always, age, type of use and claims history are big factors. I'm 67 with a clean licence and my last claim was for a cracked windscreen in 2000. Annual premium is around the equivalent of two tanks of petrol.
My other cars have always come into the 'high value' or specialist insurance category and club membership used to be good for 10% reduction. However, with increasing competition in the market, this has disappeared and I now also find going direct is the most cost effective.
