Is Jaguar XJ (2016 and above) as daily driver?
Hello. I am thinking of buying a 2017 jaguar XJ 3 litre diesel.
I would use it as a daily car for work as i am driving 22 miles each way, every day.
The only thing that still gives me concern, is that ppl in uk dont like big cars, as streets are narrow, parking is limited and so on, none of my colleagues would understand...
Currently i drive volvo s80 and its already not a small and i have no problems, Jag is about 30 cm longer...
Would anyone share their experience if they use this car daily, and would they still recommend this car.
I know its abit lame question, but i guess as as anon UK national i would like your opinion.
Thanks in advance.

Much depends on where you are parking every day. I have driven one of these cars for a few days in January 2018 and there is no doubt they are a big car, but very easy to drive around, they don't feel big to drive, except when it comes to parking because British street parking has not kept up with the increased size and especially width of modern cars. As an example, I was not confident enough to take the car into the underground Delamere St car park in Chester, but this reluctance was probably because I was driving the car as a courtesy car, and there was a £500 excess on damage !!
I have had two X350s, the previous model, and funnily enough had no problems parking, but on these cars the waist line is lower and visibility all-round is good.
As a diesel you need to be aware that the car will be much happier used on longer trips not tootling around town, when you could get DPF clogging and also clog up the EGR valves, there are two of these.
