Welcome to the forums jolly jack,
I wouldn't normally answer a technical question in the Region forum but this could get complicated if I just move your post to the Model forum.
The X305 is the XJ12 in production 1995-1997. A 2001 XJ8 is an X308 in production 1997-2003. Assuming you want X308, here is the diagram from the Parts Catalogue:
Once the securing Short Thread Bolts (item 6) are removed from the Bumper Mounting Brackets (item 1), the bumper slides rearwards off the Guide Blocks (item 20).
This is NOT a job to tackle alone. The bumper is surprisingly flexible and it needs a pair of hand on either side to remove and refit.
Please follow this link New Member Area - Intro a MUST - Jaguar Forums - Jaguar Enthusiasts Forum to the New Member Area - Intro a MUST forum and post some information about yourself and your vehicle for all members to see. In return you'll get a proper welcome and some useful advice about posting to the forum.
