Default London ULEV streets/zones.

ULEV = Ultra Low Emission Vehicles.

I have only just heared about the ULEV streets/zones which are being trouble ed in London.
During peak hours no vehicles using fossil fuels are allowed to enter these streets/"zones.
Drivers will be fined for doing so.

www.hackney.gov.uk/ulev-streets

Bear in mind I've only just found out and I'll add more details. It might not only be Hackney.

More info on ulev streets.

https://www.zeroemissionsnetwork.com/len

The proposed locations of the first few streets are shown on the link and also what type of vehicles are exempt. Residents who live there who have fossil fuel vehicles can apply for exemption certificates so they can access their own properties during peak times with their fossil fuel vehicles.

I've not seen any dates when they will come into effect apart from "this summer".

I get the impression the London Boroughs are having a competition to see who can complete the alphabet with restricted zone acronyms.

Yes too much use of acronyms.
The streets only for ULEV vehicles are also being called LEN : "Low Emmission Neighbourhood"
I wonder what involvement TFL have in this?

Thank you for correcting the links I posted. The 2nd one doesn't seem to work in the same way?

I've fixed it.

It used to be a simple matter of removing leading http:// or https:// from a link string but this doesn't work so consistently with the recent forum updates.

I could see that you had done exactly the same with the other link, but as you say its a bit inconsistent.
Another one is if I post a youtube link using my android smart phone it just shows the link lettering which doesn't work as we already know.
But if i post the exact same link via my Windows pc it shows as the picture of the video and you can use the start arrow to play,

The recent forum updates have been specifically to make it more accessible and a better experience for the increasing numbers accessing the forum with smartphones and tablets. Unfortunately this is also breaking some features which have been robust for years. The YouTube linking is an example of this.

All the forums I'm on have their different vagaries, but we just work around them.
Overall this forum works very well on my two means of access.
