Well, it's now 2 weeks today until our meet event, as organised as I am I still have 126 things to do to finalise this, but we'll get there.

Something I had though of, but hadn't done anything about and just been asked.......Anyone interested in taking video of the day at certain points?

I had imagined that there may be some coming with Go Pro camera systems or similar that will mean we get some video footage of the day.
Anyone??

Please jump in and advise

Note - This should generally go without saying, but I'd encourage everyone to make sure they get plenty of pics of the day and please post them on the forum thread once the day is done.

Thanks
Jim

Ok so now just under 2 weeks to go till the Crieff event......Please read the forum post for ALL the relevant info, it's all there.

I've got boxes of leaflets, literature, pens, umbrellas, t shirts / polo sweatshirts, gift vouchers for transmissions service, SNG Barratt, Pinnacle Wax, Service voucher AND 4 wheel alignment from Prestige Jaguar, gift voucher from DCR Autoparts, Gift voucher from David Manners and also from Mr Tint too.
There's forum decals AND the forum banner freshly signed at the Brighton meet ( with little space left ) for pics and signing for posterity too.

Taggarts are sending along the all new XE AND an F type too on the day.....

There's just too much and it'll be a rollercoaster event on the day I'm sure, I'll just be glad to get some space back....lol

I encourage everyone to take as many pics as possible ( video would be great ) and to share back in this thread once the day is done......

Now only 13 days 8 hours and 51 minutes until kick off

Rough Itinery for the day.
Please note this is just for reference purposes and to give an idea of what to expect on the day and may be subject to change.

Meet at Stirling services anywhere between 8.30 - 9.00am, the earlier the better. This will be a brief chance to chat whilst awaiting arrival of others.

Ideally I'd like to hand out the welcome packs " gift packs at that time as many as is possible.
The welcome packs are likely to include as follows.
Each individual members "dashboard info" doc ( see attached ) and also name badge for the day, this will help everyone to get acquainted quickly and easily, also a good tool for those of us with failing memories..lol
Hopefully there will also be forum decals, possibly pens and keyrings etc as well as useful literature / leaflets from those generous companies sponsoring the event.

Leave Stirling services as close to 9am as possible for the drive to Glen Turret, should take around 30- 40 mins meaning we'll arrive around 09.45am and get the cars parked up.

We can all have a chat / catch up get to know you session ( nice and friendly and informal ) in and around the distillery which opens around 10am
There should possibly be tea / coffee available and perhaps late breakfast for those that want to take advantage. The food is excellent and pricing reasonable

10.45 - 11.00 am approx. - Around this time it might be a good opportunity to introduce Taggarts employee with the new XE. I'm sure there'll be plenty of opportunity to view the car inside n out and ask any questions, perhaps express any interest and or arrange for future test drives.
During this time I will be making everyone aware of the fantastic raffle prizes we have available, to date.....

As above under SPONSORS UPDATE!
!!!!There may be others to add shortly, so watch this space!!!!

Although the whole event / day is FREE for everyone, I intend to ask anyone that's interested to pay £1 per raffle ticket for each prize they're interested in.
ALL funds, which could be considerable will then be added together and everyone who entered will gain entry to a final FREE draw, with 2 winners, total prize fund split around 70/30 so giving someone a nice cash sum. This will perhaps pay for their fuel for the day!
Some considerable time will be taken to gather all / any raffle tickets and work out the draw, this to take place later.

GlenTurret Distillery - Tours of the distillery showing the processes including 2 whisky tastings are available ( obviously for non drivers ) see attached documents for info on times and pricing
Basic tours take around 1 hour and start around 10.30 am I believe.

Around 12.00 - 12.30 pm we can make the draws for the various raffles, announcing the winners and handing out prizes won and a chance to thanks the sponsors for their help in making this event FREE for all.
1pm approx. - Forum banner will be made available for signing for everyone for posterity. We hope to get a group picture of everyone there BEHIND the banner this time...lol

I'd encourage everyone to take as many pics and or videos of the day as possible for posting into the forum thread for all to see later.

As near to 1pm as possible, exit the distillery and take the scenic loch side drive along Loch earn up to Lochearnhead, cut back on the A84 towards Callander and ultimately Stirling and disperse from there.
Here's hoping for sunshine, looking forward to a great day

Further, Wild Thyme have agreed to lay on hot bacon rolls from their servery counter from around 10am - 11am, excellent food reasonably priced.
The ambience and surroundings are warm, friendly and welcoming. I do hope you take advantage of this offer

Ideally I'd like to hand out the welcome packs " gift packs at that time as many as is possible.
The welcome packs are likely to include as follows.

Some considerable time will be taken to gather all / any raffle tickets and work out the draw, this to take place later.

GlenTurret Distillery - Tours of the distillery showing the processes including 2 whisky tastings are available ( obviously for non drivers ) see attached documents for info on times and pricing

David Manners Group - DMG have kindly offered a £30 voucher, 1x sweatshirt / 1x polo shirt, Jaguar Holdall and Connolly leather care feed, totalling approx £140.00 thank you!
Jaguar, Daimler, MG, Mini, Triumph, MX5, Morris Minor, Car Parts from David Manners Group of Companies in the UK
TLC Detailing - Swissvax detailing products, more info to follow

Further, Wild Thyme have agreed to lay on hot bacon rolls from their server counter from around 10am-11am, excellent food, reasonably priced
The ambience and surroundings are warm, friendly and welcoming. I do hope you take advantage of this offer

UPDATE - Had a call from Taggarts Jaguar today confirming attendance of the XE and The F type ( possibly ADW variant )
They will be going straight to the distillery and should be there when we arrive!

Also had calls from several members today checking and confirming details, so things are hotting up.
Also starting to look into the long range weather forecast, hoping for a nice day.

Few more leaflets etc to collect and the welcome packs will be started later in this coming week, raffle books organised and prizes ready.

If you guys are anything like me, the coming days and the Saturday before will involve plenty of one on one time with your vehicles, assuring it looks its best on the day.

See you all soon
Jim
