Called out to see both Mackies and Pentland Jaguar today re forum sponsorship.
I was hoping to collect literature etc at Mackies but nothing was ready, so I'll need to call back. Had an offer from John though to buy my car from me which was genuine and nice, but no thanks....lol

Met with Derek at Pentland through in Edinburgh and had a chat re the day and what was going on, should be an F Type and hopefully F Pace on the day ( subject to availability - or an XE )
No literature but snagged around 100 of these for the welcome packs...

I'll have to revisit both in a few weeks

The upside is I met 2 employees at Mackies ( both Jaguar owners ) who may decide to pop along on the day!!

Cheers
Jim

Glen Turret Distillery meet Crieff Sun June 5th details

The ultimate venue is Glen Turret distillery in Crieff, from approx. 09.45am onwards on the day. We will be gathering first at Stirling services
located at J9 just off the M9 from approx. 08.30am.
For logistical reasons it may be more suitable for those coming from the North to meet direct at the Distillery.

We should have a nice Jaguar convoy of perhaps 50 cars plus leaving the services promptly at 09.00am, the run to Glen Turret will take approx 45 minutes.
The plan will be to hand out "welcome packs" as far as is possible at the services. These will contain various Jaguar literature, sponsors details, keyrings, pens, name badges and dashboard information sheets for you and your vehicle.

It's a personal choice but I would ask that you use the name badges for easy recognition on the day. It will help others to instantly know you and your car and more likely your forum username, helping the day to go more smoothly.
I have contacted the Perthshire Advertiser and there may be an official photographer on the day, awaiting feedback on this.

There will also be a rough Itinerary of the day with approximate timings, these won't necessarily be hard n fast but should give an idea of how the day will go.

10.00am - 11.00am - Introduce the Pentland Jaguar crew. Wild Thyme have kindly put on bacon rolls for us from approx 10am onwards, so time for a coffee / roll and socialising.
11.00am - Announce raffle prizes with a brief chat about each sponsor. There are some amazing prizes on offer, raffle tickets will be £1 each will proceeds going into a FINAL raffle for cash prizes to be won. Everyone who bought a ticket will be included in this final draw

2.00pm - leave for forum drive event. We'll leave the distillery and take a right along the A85, through Comrie and St Fillans to Lochearnheard, take a left onto the A84 and head down through Strathyre and Callander back towards Stirling. Anyone left at this point will be welcome to congregate once more at Stirling services to chat and round off the day.
4.00pm - 5.00pm Finish

Hi Jim, Just a thought about the forum dashboard information sheets you are doing! Could you do this as a template so we could fill in details ourselves as to any mods etc. It would let anybody know at a glance what the cars spec is!!

Hi Euan, good idea, of course around 5 out of the 60 may do this...lol
It'd be great if everyone decided to do their own and fill it out a little for sure, see mine attached for sue as a template.

I'll be printing off the standard versions for everyone anyway, but for those that want to fill it out somewhat, yes, please go for it.

Glen Turret Distillery meet Crieff Sun June 5th details
3 WEEKS TOMORROW!!

The Itinerary will be as follows
08.30am Gather at Stirling services initial meet point. As far as is possible, welcome packs will be handed out here.
09.00am - Leave in convoy for the run to Glen Turret distillery. Pentland Jaguar will already be there and set up with F Type and possibly F Pace.
09.50am - 10.00am Arrive and distillery and park, the forum banner will be set up and available for signing during the day, sharpies provided.
11.15am - 12.00pm collect raffle prize entries
12.15pm - 1.00pm raffle draws held and prizes given
1.00pm - 2.00pm - General socialising, pictures and conversation with a final group shot of everyone with the signed forum banner, something like this.....

Forum day today and made decent progress......
I visited with Prestige Jaguar, Mackies Transmissions and also with Mr Tint. All have supplied literature / leaflets, business cards etc, as well as pens, mugs, keyrings and air fresheners.

These will be added to the existing stockpile of tyre tread depth indicators, keyrings and other goodies that will be included in the "welcome pack"
The raffle books have been named to match individual prizes and are all ready good to go. It took some time to go through them which is a testament to the generosity of our sponsors.

Please take the time to wade through this when you have the chance, All sponsors have added something to this event. I would ask that you consider this moving forward should any of their services be needed for your vehicle in the future.
Preparations are in hand to collect other items, bag and tag them and add them to the pile. I do hope to be able to hand out most welcome packs at Stirling services on the day before the drive to Crieff, any that are missed can be collected later in the day.

I will make Itinerary listings to be included in the packs on the day, roughly as follows.......

11.15am - 12.00pm collect raffle prize entries
12.15pm - 1.00pm raffle draws held and prizes given
1.00pm - 2.00pm - General socialising, pictures and conversation with a final group shot of everyone with the signed forum banner.

Onwards n upwards
Jim

Glen Turret Distillery meet Crieff Sun June 5th details
Edging ever closer!!

11.00am - Announce raffle prizes with a brief chat about each sponsor. There are some amazing prizes on offer, raffle tickets will be £1 each will proceeds going into a FINAL raffle for cash prizes to be won. Everyone who bought a ticket will be included in this final draw
11.15am - 12.00pm collect raffle prize entries
12.15pm - 1.00pm raffle draws held and prizes given
1.00pm - 2.00pm - General socialising, pictures and conversation with a final group shot of everyone with the signed forum banner, something like this.....

Hi all, with just a little over 2 weeks to go I'm getting more involved and ticking more boxes as the event draws nearer.
With a few hours to spare before Rangers FC beat Hibernian to take the Scottish Cup I managed to get another few things ticked off the list.

To be included in every welcome pack along with forum sponsors literature / leaflets, various pens, keyrings, tyre tread depth indicators, mugs etc, I have added the following to assist you on the day.

1. An approximate Itinerary of the day - Clearly a rough outline of how we expect the day to go and one we'll try our best to adhere to as far as is possible.
2. A forum sponsor sheet - This sheets as the name suggests, outlines all the forum sponsors who have stepped up to make your day, the best it possibly can be. Through their kind generosity not only will your day be FREE in it's entirety, you may also win one of a dozen amazing prizes and or Cash

These sheets are printed back to back and will be available for all.

I would urge everyone to take note of the sponsors and ask that we all bear them in mind for any future purposes, at least giving them the opportunity to quote for your business.

Thank you
