To be included in every welcome pack along with forum sponsors literature / leaflets, various pens, keyrings, tyre tread depth indicators, mugs etc, i have added the following to assist you on the day.

1. An approximate itinerary of the day - clearly a rough outline of how we expect the day to go and one we'll try our best to adhere to as far as is possible.
2. A forum sponsor sheet - this sheets as the name suggests, outlines all the forum sponsors who have stepped up to make your day, the best it possibly can be. Through their kind generosity not only will your day be free in it's entirety, you may also win one of a dozen amazing prizes and or cash

these sheets are printed back to back and will be available for all.

I would urge everyone to take note of the sponsors and ask that we all bear them in mind for any future purposes, at least giving them the opportunity to quote for your business.

Thank you
2 weeks today!

Perthshire Advertiser contacted again today, awaiting feedback to see if they will attend
Snacks etc for the "welcome packs" ordered today, should arrive mid week

There's been a few that for various reasons have had to pull out, but there's been a few that's been added too, so numbers are around 61 cars and 118 people on the day
Dashboard info sheet / forum sponsor sheet made up and printed ready good to go, ancillary items all ordered and arrived, banner and forum decals here etc etc

Still some running around to do, some leaflets and literature to still pull in and a few things to confirm, but still all going according to plan

On a personal note, the Jag is back in at the paint shop for some remedial work and also work on the passenger door later this week, calipers still to be redone ( given time ) and then onto the detailers approx 1st June
How's your preparation going??

Weather booked for the day, see attached

Jim

Glen Turret Distillery meet Crieff Sun June 5th details

!!!!! 1 WEEK 4 DAYS TO GO !!!!!

The ultimate venue is Glen Turret distillery in Crieff, from approx. 09.45am onwards on the day. We will be gathering first at Stirling services
located at J9 just off the M9 from approx. 08.30am.
For logistical reasons it may be more suitable for those coming from the North to meet direct at the Distillery.

We should have a nice Jaguar convoy of perhaps 50 cars plus leaving the services promptly at 09.00am, the run to Glen Turret will take approx 45 minutes.
The plan will be to hand out "welcome packs" as far as is possible at the services. These will contain various Jaguar literature, sponsors details, keyrings, pens, name badges and dashboard information sheets for you and your vehicle.

It's a personal choice but I would ask that you use the name badges for easy recognition on the day. It will help others to instantly know you and your car and more likely your forum username, helping the day to go more smoothly.
I have contacted the Perthshire Advertiser and there may be an official photographer on the day, awaiting feedback on this.

There will also be a rough Itinerary of the day with approximate timings, these won't necessarily be hard n fast but should give an idea of how the day will go.

The Itinerary will be as follows
08.30am Gather at Stirling services initial meet point. As far as is possible, welcome packs will be handed out here.
09.00am - Leave in convoy for the run to Glen Turret distillery. Pentland Jaguar will already be there and set up with F Type and possibly F Pace.
09.50am - 10.00am Arrive and distillery and park, the forum banner will be set up and available for signing during the day, sharpies provided.
10.00am - 11.00am - Introduce the Pentland Jaguar crew. Wild Thyme have kindly put on bacon rolls for us from approx 10am onwards, so time for a coffee / roll and socialising.
11.00am - Announce raffle prizes with a brief chat about each sponsor. There are some amazing prizes on offer, raffle tickets will be £1 each will proceeds going into a FINAL raffle for cash prizes to be won. Everyone who bought a ticket will be included in this final draw
11.15am - 12.00pm collect raffle prize entries
12.15pm - 1.00pm raffle draws held and prizes given
1.00pm - 2.00pm - General socialising, pictures and conversation with a final group shot of everyone with the signed forum banner, something like this.....

We'll leave the distillery and take a right along the A85, through Comrie and St Fillans to Lochearnheard, take a left onto the A84 and head down through Strathyre and Callander back towards Stirling. So starting my check lists as the day draws ever nearer........

All prizes / cash and otherwise, leaflets, literature, pens / keyrings / mugs etc all arrived and in place.
The refreshments for the welcome packs arrived yesterday and will be going through that lot in the next several days......
The banner is ready good to go with a fresh supply of sharpies for signing, Jaguarforums decals available within the welcome packs too.

Name badges all sorted and will be starting to organise each individual members "welcome pack" shortly, these will be specific to each member and will include dashboard info sheets / badges and more.

The raffle ticket books have been named and ready good to go for the day

Jim

Glen Turret Distillery meet Crieff Sun June 5th details

!!!!! 1 WEEK TO GO !!!!!
Well, I'd take another day like today in a heartbeat, very sunny and warm, fingers crossed!

2.00pm - leave for forum drive event. We'll leave the distillery and take a right along the A85, through Comrie and St Fillans to Lochearnheard, take a left onto the A84 and head down through Strathyre and Callander back towards Stirling. Anyone left at this point will be welcome to congregate once more at Stirling services to chat and round off the day.

Hi All,
The unexpected purchase of a Volvo V40 D3 SE has replaced my S-Type, so sadly will not be attending the Crieff event.
Went to see a 12plate XF in Caviar at Taggarts on Saturday May 14th with a view that it could replace the beloved S. Unfortunately it was sold the previous evening and was no longer available. Before leaving Taggarts to view another XF in the same colour, though with a doubtful history, my wife and I had a look round the complex and came across a Volvo V40 D3 SE in Flamingo Red, on at the same price as the XF, but only 11months old with 2 years manufacturers warranty left on it. (An ex UK Volvo Car) To cut the story short, a deal was done and we now have a Volvo instead of the S.
It goes without saying that I am going to miss my S-Type very much, but hopefully the Volvo will work out to be the right choice long term.
Thanks for your good company in the past and I wish you all the very best for the future. Have a great day at Crieff and just sorry we will not be there.
Regards
InverStype (Telfer)

Telfer,

You could be a rebel and go in the Volvo. :-)

Sorry to hear you missed out on the XF you were after but a wise choice to pass on the one with doubtful history.

Had a few last minute cancellations, no real surprise or drama, happens every year.
Sometimes life throws us curveballs and stuff happens, it's just the way it is.

Daniel Laverty and another member have stated they may be along on the day ( awaiting info ) so figures ultimately should be about the same.
In the meantime, see revised list to follow in next post......

Glen Turret Distillery meet Crieff Sun June 5th details

!!!!! 4 DAYS TO GO !!!!!
Well, I'd take another day like today in a heartbeat, very sunny and warm, fingers crossed!
