Jim
Is it possible to refine the list into counties/regions?
That way we could see if anyone in the locality would be interested in meeting up for a beer on a sunny Sunday lunchtime (if we ever get one).
Most of the formal Club activities seem to take place 'oop North' or the Midlands and they are a bit of hike for us Southerners with other commitments so we don't get to join in the group fun.
Or is it just me?

Steve,

I've imported the MASTER LIST to MSAccess and checked to see whether it can be sorted effectively.

The limitation is 'Location' by anything other than Country is not mandatory for registration on the forum. Consequently there's large gaps in Town and County data even for the members who have chosen to list themselves in this UK Region thread.

Although the Mod Team can see members IP Addresses and consequently usually their Town, I don't think it's acceptable for me to make this data public if an individual member has chosen not to include it in their visible details.

Here is a screenshot of the resulting data from the current MASTER LIST in an MSExcel spreadsheet showing the first 32 rows ordered by County.

As you can see, there's significant gaps and the quality gets worse further down the list.

If members wish to add their Town and County details, I'm more than happy to redo this exercise with the improved data and make the full list available here.

Thanks Graham, that's cool.
I wasn't after personal stuff, just 'Anybody in Wiltshire fancy meeting up for a pint at xxxx on Sunday' sort of thing without having to bother everyone else on the master list.
Good job though.

Steve,

You can do that sort of search using Community button on the black menu bar. Go to Community - Members

From Search Members go to Advanced Search

Click on Advanced Search to open this dialogue box

Enter the search criteria in the Location box and click on the Search Now button at the bottom of the screen.

The example I've shown of 'Wiltshire' only return two results. You'll have more success entering Towns within Wiltshire.
