UK South East Annual Brighton Meet 29th May 2016
Hi Everyone, and welcome to the thread for our next Annual Brighton Meet!
I am quite a way in advance on this, due to no longer being able to run this as a Bi-Annual event :-(
But I will be working to continue the trend of each event being bigger and better than the last.
This event will be taking place on 29th May 2016 - most likely to be on the Brighton seafront as usual.
It is a Jaguar only event, and I am working on gaining much more industry support than previously, trying to get close to matching Jims last organised event :-), and ensuring that everyone has a fantastic day to remember.
There will be a convoy on the morning from Pease Pottage Services to the seafront, with us all setting up camp in one huge parking block prior to a fantastic breakfast with a sea view, and the main meet with as much going on as I can pull together for us including a free raffle for a number of must-have goodies, industry reps on site for you to quiz with problems, discounts etc etc. Plus the usual Welcome Packs on the day with free samples, info etc etc.
This thread will only be updated every now and again with the progress of things until closer to the date, so you can dip in and check on things if you want, but it doesn't pop up every time you logon.
If you would like to sign up for this event please just pop a post on the thread inc how many will likely be coming, and car details, and I will add you in, noting you can join just the main event, or the event and convoy.
Convoy from Pease Pottage Services:
SteveSheldon 1998 XJ8 3.2 +1
Total 1 car - 1 attendee
Main Meet Event on Brighton Seafront:

OK, as you are all aware, we already have a twitter feed for the event - which after a few months of use I have got the hang of :-) and it works well alongside the threads.
I have had a number of people suggesting that we have a Facebook page for the event also, carrying the photos, general info etc etc.
I have bitten the bullet and set an account up - I would appreciate any help with getting it set up correctly etc. if possible
Many thanks in advance

OK Guys,
I think the Facebook page is up and running all OK - why not check it out and participate there?
The page is at: https://www.facebook.com/JaguarForumsUK
So now we have the forum threads for browsers, a Twitter feed for those just wanting the salient points, and now a facebook page to carry all the pictures, and items that don't easily fit onto a forum or Twitter :-)
I hope you like....

If you prefer, you are also very welcome to drop a line to JaguarForumsUK@solidlinux.co.uk :-)

Aaaaaaand, we're off again.
Superb Steve, kudos to you my friend, I'm sure it'll be a great day as they always have been. I know how much time is required, how many emails and pm's are sent, as well as phone alls, don't forget the banner etc etc so know you'll have your hands full for the next few months.
Do you have anyone willing to help, throw in some time, some ideas etc?
Anything the team or I can do to help, please let me know in terms of announcements / mass mails etc
Best as always
Jim

Thankyou very much Jim - the event is still very much a JaguarForums.com event and will always be so - *but* because this has been switched from bi-annual to annual I am working on scaling things up if I can - hence the venture (and huge learning curve) into facebook as well as the forum thread, and Twitter..
I am currently looking for anyone that can help speed my learning curve with the facebook event page - I would really appreciate the help...
Plus on the day, IF I can scale our event up as much as I want, I will be looking for anyone who may be able to assist with the organisation during the event..
I am really lucky and have managed to find a friend who is happy to have his vehicle badged up as the event support vehicle and give a hand wherever needed on the day (Welcome pack distribution, any breakdowns etc) which will be a great help.
I also, already have the ongoing support of Harwoods Jaguar, SNG Barratt and WaxOn-WaxOff which is fantastic, and I will be continuing to do the rounds of potential sponsors over the months to come.
I am very open to anyone's help - I think I have already enlisted Ron The Guardian to see if he can raise some prizes for the day :-) - so if anyone has a skillset that could be put to good use making our event huge please, please get in touch.
There is a good few months to go, but I would like us to really make our event stand out, and there is as you say quite a bit of promotional and organisational things to pull into place... Now I have more months before each meet it is time to try to get JaguarForums.com known for it's Brighton event :-)
Anyone who has yet to sign up for this event, please do..
It is completely free, and just signing up does not commit you until nearer the date, but the more that sign up here, follow our twitter feed, or make use of our event page on facebook, the easier it will be to try to get the industry reps on site, the samples, and information packs PLUS superb prizes for the prize draw on the day!
