Not to worry, I have emailed asking if we can extend the room deal through to Sunday night :-)

I believe the General Manager of the Holiday Inn Express is out of the office today.. but as soon as I hear back from him I will let you know.

I have just heard from the general manager at the Holiday Inn Express and the reserved rooms are available Fri, Sat, and Sunday nights, and can be booked from this point forwards - all three nights are available at the £54 per night rate!

Hi Steve,

there is another Dutch car coming, 4.2 X350,two persons.
They are combining it with their holidays, so they are travelling up from Bognor on the sunday.
Would like to know the time of departure from Pease, so they can decide where to go to in the morning.

My hopes are up for the third participant (immaculate X40!), but that's still depending on the job, he might be elsewhere on the globe.

This event will be taking place on 29th May 2016 - with the main venue being Madiera Drive on the Brighton seafront as usual.

It is a Jaguar EXCLUSIVE event, and I am working on gaining much more industry support than previously, and ensuring that everyone has a fantastic day to remember.

The initial meeting point will be Pease Pottage Services, with an indoor area aset aside for us and 20% discount on anything from Costa (remember to say you are with the JaguarForums.com event to get your discount) to help get your day started. The Welcome Packs will be handed out at this point, and the main features of the day covered.

Then there will be a convoy down to the Brighton seafront creating a huge Jaguar statement with up to 100 cars, all setting up camp in one huge parking block in Madiera Drive.

There will be a fixed price breakfast laid on for attendees on arrival in Brighton, at a cost of £4.99 for the recommended (two of everything :-)) breakfast, plus drinks at individual prices or £2.60 for unlimited drinks. We are booked in the Harvester in Madiera Drive - remember to say you are with the JaguarForumns.com event when ordering.

The only other cost for the day is the parking which is likely to be £3.20 for one hour, £5.20 for 2 hours, £10.40 for 4 hours or £15.60 for 11 hours (Brighton Council are reviewing the rates in April though ).

CaptainHam has suggested setting up & using the pay by phone parking app on your phone prior to the day (saves fishing around in pockets for change, or in this case, notes)

The main meet will follow on from then with as much going on as I can pull together for us including a free prize draw for a number of must-have goodies, industry reps (see Industry Attendees list below to see who will have reps onsite) for you to quiz with problems, discounts etc etc. Not forgetting that this is your chance to meet up with all the people you know online, maybe advise them on any issues you have solved or figured and for others to help you out with any issues and to check out up to 100 Jaguars including the new Jaguar F-Pace AWD!!

Plus, if you want to make a weekend of it, we have teamed up with HolidayInn Express in Crawley and have a fixed discounted rate of £54 a night for attendees, plus guaranteed availability of rooms for us :-) please see their details below, or follow this link HolidayInn Express Crawley. Just remember to quote that you are with the 'JaguarForums.com' event to get guaranteed avalability and the fixed discounted rate of £54 a night.

If you would like to sign up for this event please just pop a post on the thread inc how many will likely be coming, and car details, and I will add you in, noting you can join just the main event, or the event and convoy. If you prefer, you are also very welcome to sign up by dropping a line to JaguarForumsUK@solidlinux.co.uk :-)

Hi Xag, Welcome to our event :-)

I very much look forward to meeting you, and your car on the day.

We still have yet to fix the complete itinerary, but because we can't prebook the parking slots on Brighton seafront it will need to be an early start.

I believe the plan will be to start off at Pease Pottage Services between 7:30 and 8:00am with 30 mins or so in the Conservatory area there for Welcome Pack distribution, a quick run through the itinerary, our sponsors and any attendees of special interest..aiming to be in Madiera Drive by 9am.

I think we have almost everything in place now :-) We have discounted accomodation with guaranteed availability, not one but two official venues, Harwoods Jaguar, The Automatic Gearbox Centre & Ultimo lubricants attending to answer all and any questions, Harwoods will be bringing an F-Pace AWD for us to see, we have some great prize draw prizes for a free prize draw, discounts on everything from coffee and tea through to everything you need to look after your Jaguar. Our breakfast by the sea is fixed price, we even know the parking costs!

If you have not signed up for this great day out for you, your Jag, and your family yet - there is no better time to make that choice and sign up to come along!

I am currently working on one surprise attendee (a car, not a person) and if I can encourage them to come and join us this year I can guarantee you will find them a massive talking point on the day :-)

So go on treat yourself - the event is free to sign up for, free to attend (apart for parking & breakfast), has a free prize draw and is a great social event in the Jaguar calendar!

Ok I have not split the models into generations but have a rough guide as to how our list of attending Jaguars breaks down currently:

We have cars covering production from 1976 through to 2016

Daimler V12 x 1
F-Type x 3
S-Type x 12
XE = 1
XF x 1
XFR = 1
XFR x 1
XJ = 4
XJC = 1
XJR = 4
XJS = 3
XJ8 = 4
XK = 2
XK8 = 3
XKR = 4
X-Type = 3

Apologies for any errors - interestingly this year the S-Type seems to be the most prominent :-)

Just for anyone who has not signed up for our great event yet, wondering if it is going to be the big event we say it is.. this thread for the 2016 event (with four months still to go) has now officially received more viewings than our 2014 event which itself had over 25,800 hits!!

Thankyou to everyone - sponsors, supporters and attendees for helping us make this event what it is :-)
