OK guys this is happening in less than 5 months time...

I am currently still working on the additional indoor venue trying to get that onboard, prior to chasing one other big potential automotive sponsor, our contact journalist at the Brighton Argus, and some accomodation discounts for anyone making a weekend of things.

I have revised my potential figures as we have gone, and now believe we can get 100 Jaguars together! :-) That will be quite some event for us all!

So go on, if you haven't signed up yet for a fantastic Jaguar day out by the seaside please do!

If not you will miss out on free welcome packs, samples, discounts, a great convoy, a fixed price breakfast by the sea, a big free prize draw with lots of great must-have prizes, seeing Jaguars that cover a huge number of production years, meeting all those people you know online but seldom get to meet, socialising, and enjoying everything a location such as Brighton has to offer.. there will event be photo shoots, and banner signing for posterity!!

So go on.. put you, your Jaguar, and your family forward for a great Jaguar day out!!

You can pop a post on here, or tweet us at @JFBrightonMeets #MayJagMeet, or friend our Facebook page at www.facebook.com/JaguarForumsUK - it's free to sign up for, free to attend (apart for parking costs and the fixed price breakfast) and guaranteed to be a great day out!!

If we are able to raise 100 Jaguars this time round I can come up with a much, much snappier name for our future events, and can organise so much more for our 2017 event..

So lets see if we can do it and take our event to the next level!

If you have held off signing up for this, not too sure if it is going to be the great Jaguar event it has been slated as being - it is genuinely going to be a fantastic and most importantly FREE Jaguar day out (apart for parking and fixed price breakfast costs) ideal for you, your Jaguar and your family so why not sign up now?

We have made it easy to sign up too!

You can pop a post on here, email me at JaguarForumsUK@solidlinux.co.uk, tweet & follow us at @JFBrightonMeets #MayJagMeet or even friend our facebook page www.facebook.com/JaguarForumsUK

Welcome to a great event - our JaguarForums.com Annual Brighton Convoy & Meet!!

OK things are on the move here - we are now listed on not three but four automotive forums - three Jaguar specific forums and one well known but not Jaguar specific forum!

Ok Steve, good going!

Slight alteration of plans on my part though.
The Daimler is for sale as I have recently acquired an immaculate low mileage X306 XJR.
I will be coming with my wife and the XJR, 113K km's, the car, that is.

And we might be accompanied by another Dutch Jag, not sure yet.

Hi Haddock, I hope you enjoy the XJR and I look forward to seeing it on the day.. please let me know if anyone else will be coming along so I can try to ensure we all have breakfasts available :-) Also could you let me know what year your new XJR is, as we are collating the stats on years of production coming too.. :-)

This event will be taking place on 29th May 2016 - most likely to be on the Brighton seafront as usual.

It is a Jaguar EXCLUSIVE event, and I am working on gaining much more industry support than previously, and ensuring that everyone has a fantastic day to remember.

There will be a convoy on the morning from Pease Pottage Services to the seafront, with us all setting up camp in one huge parking block prior to a fantastic breakfast with a sea view, and the main meet with as much going on as I can pull together for us including a free raffle for a number of must-have goodies, industry reps (see Industry Attendees list below to see who will have reps onsite) for you to quiz with problems, discounts etc etc. Plus the usual Welcome Packs on the day with free samples, info etc etc.

If you would like to sign up for this event please just pop a post on the thread inc how many will likely be coming, and car details, and I will add you in, noting you can join just the main event, or the event and convoy. If you prefer, you are also very welcome to sign up by dropping a line to JaguarForumsUK@solidlinux.co.uk :-)

Well, as you can all see the event is developing well, & I am hopeful we can hit our target of 100 Jags for our day by the seaside :-)

Currently I am maintaining a facebook page, twitter feed, and four forum threads, plus of course keeping in touch with current sponsors, and quietly nagging at other potential sponsors in the hope I can get them on board too.

We have just four months to go and I am approaching a point where I could make good use of some help.. if you think you could help with either of the following please pm me, or email me and help make this our greatest event to-date!!

a) Daily help with maintaining our four forum threads, twitter and facebook feeds

b) Assisting on the day with the onsite organisation inc Welcome Pack distribution, ensuring people get to the right places at the right time, help with the prize draw implementation and making sure no-one misses out on anything on the day.

I know it is a bit of a commitment as we have another four months of work yet, but if anyone can commit to helping with this I would really appreciate it.. it is OUR event, lets make it our FANTASTIC event!!

Hi Steve,

I now see it's a bank holiday weekend.
It now looks as if we're coming with a group from the Netherlands, so here's my question:
have you got plans for deals regarding Hotel/B&B bookings lined up?
No offence ment, and no probs if you hadn't, but then we better be swift as hell.

Thegoalgetter.

Hi Haddock - I am still waiting on feedback from local hotels here - give me a few more days and I am hoping I will have some feedback shortly with a couple of preferred options with discounts.. I have chased them again as of this morning.

Hi PaulJag - Thankyou for letting me know about the change in numbers, and thankyou - I will be in touch shortly on facebook regarding getting involved on the day - I very much appreciate the offer :-)

If anyone knows anyone who may want to come along on the day please feel free to mention our event to them, and let's get them signed up for a great day :-)

I have got quite a bit on the go here this week everyone & am hoping for quite a bit more info starting to appear in the thread over the next few days so as they say 'Watch this space' :-)

OK the first bit of news - I can now confirm that we are officially booked as a group for breakfast on the day :-)

We are booked into the same restaurant that we used last year, which is the Harvester in Madiera Drive, Brighton ( Find & Contact Us ). They will have a fixed price (recommended) breakfast on offer at £4.99 plus drinks which can be bought individually at various prices or unlimited for £2.60 - just state when ordering your food that you are with the JaguarForums.com event.

Overall the standard of the food, and speed of service was good last year so I am hoping for the same this year :-)

Also as of this morning I have final confirmation from Brighton & Hove Highways Events team that Madiera Drive will be open and available to us on the day - just waiting on the Brighton & Hove Parking team to get back to me with the parking costs for the day.

This event will be taking place on 29th May 2016 - with the main venue being Madiera Drive on the Brighton seafront as usual.

There will be a fixed price breakfast laid on for attendees on arrival in Brighton, at a cost of £4.99 for the recommended (two of everything :-)) breakfast, plus drinks at individual prices or £2.60 for unlimited drinks. The only other cost for the day is the parking which I am waiting for the Brighton & Hove Council Parking team to confirm for us.

OK guys, hot off the press - we now have the support of Pease Pottage Services (Moto Services) - we have 20% off all Costa purchases at Pease Pottage, and an indoor area set aside for us on the day - so when everyone arrives at Pease Pottage just head in, grab a coffee, Tea, or soft drink with 20% off and we will be distributing the free Welcome Packs etc etc indoors there prior to us heading down to Brighton seafront for the main event!
