With Christmas almost upon us I thought it was time to give you an update on how things are going, and our readiness for a big push to make this the biggest convoy and meet to-date in the New Year.

Things have been quiet on the signing up front as to be expected with Christmas at the forefront of everyones mind, however things have still been really busy behind the scenes with an increase in our events' Twitter following, and more automotive companies aware of us, and watching us than ever before! Our event Facebook page has retained it's friends, and our previous event threads, and current event threads have been really heavily hit recently as more people become aware of our great free Jaguar event.

Before I list the figures I want to say a huge Thankyou to everyone involved with our event - you are what makes this annual event what it is, and the interest in our next event has been incredible! Thankyou so much!

Our 2017 event is on schedule to be the largest we have organised to-date with 200 Jaguars on the day, with as many new, old, classic, and rare Jaguars as we can locate. Jaguars covering every walk of life, with a cup to be won by the best truned out Jaguar and a huge prize draw with many Jaguar orientated prizes to be won.

Our target is to be the largest FREE Jaguar Convoy & Meet event in the South-East UK, and this, our sixth event promises to get us well on the way there :-)

OK down to the figures so you know how we are doing..

Our 2016's event threads have now received over 115,000 hits
Our 2017 event has so far attracted over 18,800 forum thread hits
The event Facebook page has 54 followers currently
Our Twitter feed has 264 followers
We have 15 incredible sponsors
We will have 5 companies setting up onsite to offer advice, help, products at show prices, and more
We currently have 49 Jaguars signed up and 89 people
We have 2 official advertising partners and an accomodation partner offering fixed price booking for our event.

Anyone wanting to get involved as an attendee, sponsor, marshall on the day please, please get in touch - it would be great to hear from you.

You can pop a post on our forum thread, our Facebook page (www.facebook.com/JaguarForumsUK), our Twitter feed (@JFBrightonMeets), or email at JaguarForumsUK@solidlinux.co.uk) making it really easy for you to get in touch.

Why not sign up to get involved with our sixth great Jaguar event in 2017?

Welcome to the 2017 Annual Convoy & Meet Event

This event will be taking place on Sunday 28th May 2017 - with the main venue being Denbies Wine Estate, near Dorking.

It is a Jaguar EXCLUSIVE event! This year things are set to be even bigger and better than ever before with more cars (we now have a ceiling of 400 vehicles), more sponsors (with some able to perform work on site for you!), more prizes to be won on the day, and our annual award of the prestigeous 'JaguarForums.com Best Turned Out Jaguar' award up for grabs again!

The initial meeting point will be Pease Pottage Services with a quick Welcome speech and your free Welcome Packs handed out.

There will then be a convoy through winding country roads, with gorgeous scenery, from Pease Pottage to our new venue at Denbies Wine Estate. It will be the first time these roads will have ever seen this number of Jaguars passing through, and will set the tone for our arrival at Denbies, where we will have a grassed, enclosed area set aside exclusively for us for the day.

Denbies will be laying on a breakfast for us upon arrival. The options being: Full English breakfast with Tea or Coffee & Orange juice £8.25, a Bacon or Sausage Buttie £3.50, and a Bacon or Sausage Buttie with Egg £4.75. Please note that there will also be 10% discount vouchers available to attendees to reduce these prices :-)

As you know we like to try to work with our sponsors to keep your Jaguar costs low... and we are pleased to say we have arranged the following discount codes (so far) for event attendees, which will be active from now until our event:

Prestige Car Care is offering all attendees a 10% discount on their entire product range which includes some superb car cleaning products - to take advantage of this great offer go to Featured Products - Prestige Car Care Shop and use the checkout code 'jags' to get your event attendee discount!

Scratchshield.co.uk can help you keep your car scratch free for our event with a huge 25% discount using the checkout code ' JAGBRI16/17'

Additionally, following on from last year, we have the FREE service for attendees - the 'Don't Miss a Thing' texting service :-) If you drop me a line with your name & mobile number before the day we will ensure that you get a text just before any event on the day, such as banner signing, prize draws, winners of judged contests etc.. just drop a line to JaguarForumsUK@solidlinux.co.uk if you would like to guarantee you miss nothing on the day..

Plus, if you want to make a weekend of it, we have teamed up with HolidayInn Express in Crawley and have a fixed discounted rate of £65 a night for attendees, plus guaranteed availability of rooms for us :-) please see their details below, or follow this link HolidayInn Express Crawley. Just remember to quote that you are with the 'JaguarForums.com' event to get guaranteed availability and the fixed discounted rate of £65 a night.

It is almost 2017 and we already have a great Jaguar event for you, which will only get bigger and better as we approach the day. I really do recommend anyone who has not yet signed up, to do so soon to guarantee yourself a slot on the day.

We have free Welcome Packs distributed at the start point, a scenic convoy, and a great ultimate destination in Denbies Wine Estate.

Companies will be setting up stands onsite to discuss everything Jaguar with you - offering everything from sales and servicing through to valeting, leathercare, and great products at show prices.

Denbies will be supplying 10% discount vouchers on the day and offering a great breakfast fare.

We will have a judged competition for the 'Best Turned Out Jaguar 2017', socialising, around 200 Jaguars to check out, Denbies Wine Tastings and Tours will hopefully be available to you, and so much more.

There will even be a prize draw on the day for a large number of Jaguar orientated goodies (there will be a small charge for this).

This event is FREE to sign up for and attend.. and you will have a great Jaguar day out - everything from gorgeous scenery through to Jaguar sales, servicing, valeting, leather care, engine tuning, products at show prices, a prize draw, judged competition for 'Best Turned Out Jag 2017' and more!!

Only 136 days to go until our event, and there has been quite a bit happening this week.

I have signed up another great sponsor, and am just finalising the details with them.

Our Twitter following has been steadily increasing as has the number of our Facebook friends, with more companies looking at our event. Also we have had an increase in European interest in our event in the past few days, which is fantastic.

I am currently in contact with a few Jaguar clubs that I am hoping may be interested in setting up stands onsite to meet everyone - if you know of any clubs that would be interested please let me know.

I am hoping to have the days itinerary available online for you guys around the end of February, when I will have more of a handle on exactly what we have happening on the day..

This year we have a slightly more complex venue than previous years, so around March/April I will likely be looking for anyone happy to volounteer to marshall on the day.. it won't involve much time out of the day, and will help a lot with ensuring everyone gets parked up and organised without any of the issues we have had with previous events.

Around the end of April I am also hoping to have two suggested routes for your drive between venues - one scenic and not necessarily suitable for the more classic Jaguars and one still scenic but following more major roads which would be suitable for any Jaguar.

Here are our figures to-date.. if you have not signed up yet, or cannot see yourself listed as an attendee please, please pop a post on a forum thread, our Facebook page, tweet us, or just plain email your model of Jaguar, Year of Manufacture and how many people will be travelling and I will get you added in to what promises to be our biggest and best 'Convoy & Meet' event to-date.

We have 55 Jaguars signed up so far, spanning 63 years of production
We have 100 people signed up
Our Twitter feed now has 315 followers
Our Facebook page has 76 friends
and our 2017 event forum threads have received almost 22,500 hits to-date

A massive Thankyou to everyone supporting our event, helping us make this event OUR event.. and lets see if we can get to the aim of 200 Jaguars over the days to come :-)

I am very happy to now be able to officially announce that our event has a new sponsor in Dinitrol Direct, rust and corrosion protection specialists!

They are supplying a fantastic prize for the prize draw of a large rustproofing kit, which will protect and prevent corrosion for 24 months on your Classic, or Modern Jaguar.

Please check them out, they have a huge range of corrosion treatment and prevention products.

Huge thanks to them for their support of our Jaguar event.
