Don't forget as an event attendee you get 20% discount on Costa products at our start point, Pease Pottage Services - helping you to wake up at our slightly earlier start time.

Plus you get 20% off all Scratchshield products including their two and three bucket filtered wash systems which I use weekly, and swear by.

And new this year 15% off the incredible bespoke luggage made by Bag-World.co all tailor made for your Jaguar and in your choice in colour, trim etc. I have seen their luggage in the flesh and it is incredible.

Finally, please remember you also get a discounted rate on accomodation with Holiday Inn Express should you need it in order to be able to attend our event!

Welcome to our JaguarForums Annual Convoy & Meet event for 2018!

Further to the success of our previous events, we have an incredible Jaguar exclusive event for you in May 2018!

This will be on Sunday 27th of May this year. We will be starting at
Pease Pottage Services with a slightly earlier start time than the last event of 8:30am, & we will have a larger more airy room set aside exclusively for us on the day. There will be the obligatory welcome speech running through the features of our day, and free Welcome Packs distributed to get you in the mood for the day, plus event registration :-).

We will then have a scenic convoy through gorgeous Sussex and Surrey countryside to our main venue, with a mixture of main & country roads to our main venue Denbies Wine Estate.

At Denbies we will have a new layout for our event with a central area reserved for presentations and displays during the day. We will have trade stands onsite with great show deals, and a vast pool of Jaguar knowledge for you to quiz. In addition we will have a huge prize draw, and a number of awards to be made including the prestigious 'Best Turned Out Jag' award sponsored by Scratchshield to be passed from our 2017 winner to the new winner :-)

Add to this, superb company, over 60 years of Jaguar production spread across as many models as we can manage and you have our event :-) It is a great day out for everyone in itself but add to that what the largest wine estate in England has to offer (tours, tastings, great food, wine etc) and you have an incredible day out.

There will be free Welcome packs, samples, offers, discounts and all the usual things you would expect with a ticketed event, but this event is free! (except for a small charge for the main prize draw)

Please consider signing up, and penciling our event into your diary - the more people that sign up, the more we can organise with our event sponsors making this a win win situation for us :-) It is free to sign up for, and you are under no obligation so go on, just let us know your name/online alias, Jaguar model, year of production or reg, and how many people will likely be travelling in total and we'll do the rest :-) It is genuinely that easy to sign up for.

Currently I can confirm the following:

The Welcome Packs have been assembled.. my daughter and I sat down for about 5 hours with around 2000 items wondering what we had let ourselves in for, but the packs are now complete and ready for the day. The good news is that the packs have around 30% more in them than they did last year giving you much more information regarding the event and our sponsors, and don't worry you also have the usual supply of pens, pencils, writing material, newspaper and magazine to keep your passengers occupied on the convoy element :-)

Steve,

At one per car, that's around 80 packs!

Apart from the mammoth effort to assemble them, it has to be a storage problem for the next two weeks and then a logistics challenge to get them to Pease Pottage Services.

Well done to you and your daughter.

Graham

The plan is for 100 Jaguars - so was 100 bags with I think around 18 or so components per bag.. and yes, I am already getting the complaints at home about taking up space lol but it's OK.. it is at least all bagged, and boxed and now just in just two places, rather than lots of boxes all over the house :-)

I have been in touch with Soraya today, who is marshalling on the day with her father and we believe we have the layout under control and figured out.

A note to attendees please follow Sorayas instructions on arrival at Denbies as we are building the 'walk through the years' layout this year which will become a fixed feature for the years to come, so please work with Soraya as she tries to build this for us..

This week I am concentrating less on event promotion and making final contact with everyone who is running a trade stand, hosting a presentation slot, or sponsoring an award to try to cover all our bases and make sure we all know what we are up to.

This years event is a big one in two respects, one is that it is our FIFTH year so is an anniversary event for us and the other that this is the final format for future events - we do have some new features to add for 2019 which will make this an absolutely packed family day out for everyone into the future too.

So please most importantly enjoy yourselves on the day whether you are an attendee or are working on the day, and secondly please have an incredible Jaguar day out with us :-)

OK guys, I have a question for everyone.. Denbies have requested some rough figures as to how many people may be looking for breakfast there - we should be there approx 10am at the end of the convoy element, and breakfast is served until 11am. Could anyone thinking of having a Denbies breakfast please drop me a line at JaguarForumsUK@solidlinux.co.uk and I will add you to the figures. Huge thanks for any feedback on this it will really help Denbies ensure they can deliver breakfast for everyone wanting it.

Whilst emailing the companies involved with our event (an ongoing process today) I started thinking about what we have for our event this year and we have expanded a lot since last year, genuinely making our anniversary event a bit of a showstopper for us :-)

Up to 100 Jaguars covering production from 1955 to 2018
The new 'Walk through the years of Jaguar'
4 Presentations by specialist companies helping you look after your Jaguar
8 Trade stands with great advice, products/services, and show prices for you
5 class awards your Jaguar could be in with a chance at
A convoy/drive element as well as the main event itself
A prize draw for Jaguar orientated prizes ranging from must-have necessities through to luxury one offs
This event is now very much a full day from 8:30am - 4pm
We even have press coverage courtesy of Grant Ford from Classic Motor Monthly :-)

And in all this the only costs are for food/drink and the prize draw! A genuinely FREE JAGUAR DAY OUT!

So, go on if you haven't signed up yet why not give us a go, you have nothing to lose and you will have a great Jaguar day out with us.

I have now made contact with all the companies involved with trade stands, the presentation slots, and marshalling.

I am still shy of items from two sponsors that I believe are sending their items etc into me, the Denbies discount vouchers have yet to arrive, and I am still waiting for clarification about who is bringing their items with them on the day.

Soraya has been in touch with Denbies and has found that there will be a gazebo setup in our field, which we need to work around. Soraya is already working on this, and it shouldn't be an issue, but please be aware it is not there for our use.

We have had a few enquiries in the past few days from last minute signups - if they decide to sign up we should be very close to our target of 100 Jaguars on the day :-)

Further to more emails and phone calls today I can confirm that the 'Adrian Flux Best Classic Jaguar' award which was in question, as the voucher they had supplied was out of date having been supplied to us just after our last event, is now very much in place with Adrian Flux very kindly agreeing to honour the voucher (I didn't want anyone winning a voucher that was void :-)).

Additionally the rumours that have been circulating about a brand new, sixth award appearing this year look likely to be realised with an award that is open to all attendee cars - more information to follow on this :-) Please note that all the event paperwork has already been printed so this new award will only be listed online this year.

Our event grows bigger and more complete every year with the massive support we have of our both our sponsors and our attendees - without you we would not have an event - just a big field with just me there and tumblewood rolling past :-)

This year we have exceeded everything we have ever managed to-date, making this, our fifth anniversary event, a showstopper for us..

82 Jaguars and 149 people signed up so far
Attending Jaguars will span 63 years of Jaguar history
You can take the 'Walk Through The Years of Jaguar'
We have not 4 or 5, but SIX awards your Jaguar is in with a chance of winning
4 Presentations teaching you the tricks of the trade in looking after your Jaguar
8 Trade stands offering you great products, services and advice
Discount codes you can use to gain up to 20% off incredible products for your Jaguar
A prize draw for some exclusive Jaguar orientated prizes
& not just a static event but also a convoy/drive element through Sussex & Surrey countryside

Our event is free! You just need to sign up by email, forum post, tweet, or facebook message.

The only costs on the day are for your food/drink and to enter the prize draw - everything else is genuinely free - so go on, we have limited spaces available, why not sign your Jaguar up for our great Jaguar day out?

Just over one week to go now until our event, and items that did not arrive in time to be included in the "Welcome Packs packing marathon" have now arrived or are about to arrive with me....

So on the day, not only will you receive your Welcome Pack on registration, as well as your dashboard sheet (remember to sharpie your Jaguars year on it when you get it) but also a small pile of additional items to add to your Welcome Pack.

This way you won't miss out on the additional information/discounts etc that missed the packing date :-)

Some good news for us from Denbies - the discount vouchers are now through and we will have 10% discount in the Conservatory self service restaurant through the day.

Also on a slightly different note, where the grass in the Bacchus field was quite long last year - it is being cut early next week so should be nice and short for us on the day :-)

OK, our event is THIS WEEK & the weather forecast for our day is set to be 25 degrees and a 'blend of sun and clouds' :-)

We are down to just 17 places left for this years event and you have just SIX DAYS left to sign up, or risk missing a great Jaguar day out with us.

What do we have for you?

We have over 60 years of Jaguars for you to see, great company, not one but two venues, a convoy/drive, a prize draw, class awards, presentations by the trade, 8 trade stands with great products/services/advice, and so much more.

Denbies (our main venue) is the largest wine estate in England with superb restaurant food/drink for you, tours, tastings and award winning wine to buy and take home. You can take the 'Walk through the Years of Jaguar', chat with specialists about any issues or concerns, get some great show prices on products, and even enter a prize draw for some incredible and unique Jaguar orientated prizes.

On arrival at the start point (Pease Pottage Services) upon registration will get free Welcome Packs containing info, freebies, samples, event information and more. Your dashboard sheet will be unique to you (remember to sharpie your Jaguars year on it) and will be your ticket to not 4 or 5 but SIX judged awards on the day.

All this is yours on the day - the only costs being your food/drink, and entry to the prize draw - this is truly a FREE Jaguar day out suitable for you, your family & your Jaguar.

In addition we will have the 'Walk Through The Years Of Jaguar',
a huge prize draw, and not 4 or 5, but 6 awards to be won including the prestigious 'Best Turned Out Jag' award sponsored by Scratchshield to be passed from our 2017 winner to the new winner :-)
