Just a quick update to let you know I am still looking into the replacement sponsors/trade stands for the companies unable to make our event this year and waiting on feedback from the possible companies.

Additionally Steve *** is unavailable to us for this years event. He has produced a lot of excellent, and incredible shots for us of our recent events, and will be missed.

I am looking for anyone who would be happy to take on the role of official event photographer - ensuring we get pictures of all the attending Jaguars, and the features during the day.. if you would be interested in doing this at all, or any part of, please drop me a line at JaguarForumsUK@solidlinux.co.uk..

Ok guys I have some great news for you :-)

Bag-World (who joined us as an official event sponsor last year) have just agreed to supply some of their incredible bespoke luggage as prizes for our prize draw this year, and are offering a great 15% discount on all luggage orders by event attendees.

In order to take advantage of their very kind (and generous) offer of 15% discount please go to Bagworld | Bespoke bags and luggage and quote BW001 to claim your 15% discount.

Many, many thanks go to Bag-World for their support of our event.

Welcome to our JaguarForums Annual Convoy & Meet event for 2018!

Further to the success of our previous events, we have an incredible Jaguar exclusive event for you in May 2018!

This will be on Sunday 27th of May this year. We will be starting at Pease Pottage Services with a slightly earlier start time than the last event, & we will have a larger more airy room set aside exclusively for us on the day. There will be the obligatory welcome speech running through the features of our day, and free Welcome Packs distributed to get you in the mood for the day, plus event registration :-).

We will then have a scenic convoy through gorgeous Sussex and Surrey countryside to our main venue, with a mixture of main & country roads to our main venue Denbies Wine Estate.

At Denbies we will have a new layout for our event with a central area reserved for presentations and displays during the day. We will have trade stands onsite with great show deals, and a vast pool of Jaguar knowledge for you to quiz. In addition we will have a huge prize draw, and a number of awards to be made including the prestigious 'Best Turned Out Jag' award sponsored by Scratchshield to be passed from our 2017 winner to the new winner :-)

Add to this, superb company, over 60 years of Jaguar production spread across as many models as we can manage and you have our event :-) It is a great day out for everyone in itself but add to that what the largest wine estate in England has to offer (tours, tastings, great food, wine etc) and you have an incredible day out.

There will be free Welcome packs, samples, offers, discounts and all the usual things you would expect with a ticketed event, but this event is free! (except for a small charge for the main prize draw)

Please consider signing up, and penciling our event into your diary - the more people that sign up, the more we can organise with our event sponsors making this a win win situation for us :-) It is free to sign up for, and you are under no obligation so go on, just let us know your name/online alias, Jaguar model, year of production or reg, and how many people will likely be travelling in total and we'll do the rest :-) It is genuinely that easy to sign up for.

Currently I can confirm the following:

Ok it is Friday and it's time for a summary of our event (Just 86 days to go) and where we have got to..

Bag World have been kind enough and very generous in not just supplying some prizes for our prize draw, but also our first event attendee discount code.

I am still in discussions with potential sponsors that I am hoping can make our event and bring products/services that we don't currently have cover for.

and we have had a few more attendee signups too.. :-)

If you have not signed up yet please consider doing so - this is genuinely the biggest (and most complex) event to-date and promises to be a great Jaguar day out for all of us, suitable for petrolheads, electricheads (is there such a phrase yet?) and families alike.

Ok here's the stat's to-date

Our forum threads have been hit over 16,700 times so far
Our Facebook following is at 222
Our Twitter feed is growing in popularity at 520 followers
Our Instagram feed now has 58 followers
We have 57 attendees signed up bringing 34 Jaguars spanning 50 years of production
We have 19 official event sponsors (in negotiations with two more)
We have official event accomodation at a fixed price with guaranteed availability
We will have 7 trade stands offering great products/services
There are 5 awards up for winning
And we have 5 presentation slots for you..

Add to this the Welcome Packs (currently working on these), our convoy element, great food & wine, incredible location and that our event is truly free - you have an incredible one day Jaguar event.

Don't forget we just need to know your Jaguar model, year, and how many travelling in order to sign you up!

You can pop a post on one of our forum threads, message via facebook (www.facebook.com/JaguarForumsUK), or tweet us (@JFBrightonMeets #MayJagMeet), email us (JaguarForumsUK@solidlinux.co.uk), or message us via Instagram (JaguarForumsUK)

Please remember you do need to sign up in order to attend :-)

Thankyou for that Graham, I appreciate it.

There is a whole load of work to do yet, but everything is pretty much in place now for the day just with a few last details to get tied down.

This is genuinely the biggest event to-date and as much as I am saying this myself, it is really well worth signing up for - we have something for everyone from petrol to diesel through to the latest electric Jaguar, the I-Pace, coming on the day, presentations by the trade teaching attendees the tricks of the trade, trade stands offering great products/services, awards for several classes of Jaguar all free, plus great food and award winning wines! There is a small charge for the prize draw on the day, but we do have some fantastic Jaguar orientated prizes on offer for attendees... but apart for food & drink, that is the only cost for attendees making this a great (and cheap) day out for everyone.

So, anyone wondering if you should sign up please do, or you risk missing a great free Jaguar day out :-)

I might like to attend if I could work out the basics of where it is, itinerary etc, but this thread appears to be the same thing repeated over and over again making it very tedious to try and read through, to the point of giving up. Any chance of concise details please? :-)

Hi Getaway, I am sorry that you found the thread confusing and tedious. Usually with event threads they are built on as the event develops, and as old posts cannot be deleted the thread grows in size over time. The best, and least confusing route is always to go directly to the end of an event thread for the latest, and then just work backwards if you want to see what has been happening. An itinerary for the event should be out in a couple of weeks as soon as I have got the print runs for the Welcome Packs sorted but fundamentally we will be meeting early on Sunday 27th May at Pease Pottage Services, with a convoy/drive to the main event venue which is Denbies Wine Estate. We will be there until, likely 3pm or so with awards, presentations, trade stands, a prize draw and more. If you would like to attend please just pop a post onto here or msg me, or you can email me at JaguarForumsUK@solidlinux.co.uk - I just need to know Jaguar model, year, and how many travelling - the event is free and is a good Jaguar day out for attendees..

Hi Steve, what a lot of work you're putting into this, it deserves to be supported. Please add myself, Paul Robinson +1 ... 1998 XJ8 3.2 (euphonium01)
Just one question, do we need to attend in our Jag, I'm not sure if mine will be finished by then?

Hi Paul,
Thankyou for putting yourself forward for our Jaguar event :-) I appreciate it. I will add you to the list of attendees, and even if your XJ8 (my favourite model of Jag if honest) isn't ready please do still attend - you won't be in for a chance at one of the awards on the day without your Jag *but* we still have the presentation slots, prize draw, trade stands and more to keep you happy through the day :-)

This is our seventh event, and fifth year running - and it wouldn't be where it is now without everyone attending and supporting it - thankyou's go out to everyone involved with it.

I would love to come but I believe the same day is XF 10yr anniversary at Gaydon where I am a sponsor for the event.

OK guys, just a quick update - the attendee sheets you need to place on your dash in order to be entered into the not four, but FIVE award classes this year, are all printed up along with the convoy route instructions.

I just need to check with the sponsors who are hosting Presentation slots to find out who is doing what & when, and we will have our complete and final itinerary.

Then next on my list is double checking the trade stands, confiming awards, prizes and goodies prior to finalizing the physical layout for the day.

We have a great Jaguar day ahead of us - so if you haven't signed up yet please do or you will miss out on our biggest and best event to-date - our seventh event, and we have hit our five year anniversary :-) So go on, join us and help make the day an incredible one!
