Welcome to our Eighth JaguarForumsUK Convoy & Meet event!
This will be our sixth year of running this event, and is genuinely the biggest, most feature packed event we will have ever run.

Our event is a great Jaguar day out for you, your Jaguar, and your family, with a convoy element, as well as main one day event - including:

Free Welcome packs
A range of class awards that your Jaguar could win
Talks on how to look after and maintain your Jaguar
Trade stands with great products & services at show prices, plus free advice.
Clubs and Forums are now participating too.
Trade demonstrations showing you the trade at work
A quiz to test your knowledge of Jaguar history and trivia (spanning 1920 - 2004), finding our most knowledgeable attendee
A great prize draw (the largest prize fund to-date) with prizes ranging from must-haves to incredible treats for you or your Jaguar

Add to this a convoy/drive through glorious Sussex and Surrey countryside, a superb venue at Denbies Wine Estate (the largest wine estate in England), great Jaguars spanning all walks of life, incredible company and you have our event. And not just all this, but Denbies have a range of award winning wines you can buy and take home with you, plus a carvery restaurant with great food and drink to keep you going through the day.

So go on, treat yourself and your Jaguar to a great day out. Our event is free to sign up for and attend, with just a small fee for entering the prize draw on the day, making it ideal for you and your family, even if you are on a budget! Over the weekend there was a vote on the events Facebook page for what showroom model of Jaguar people would like to see brought along by Tony from Harwoods.

I am pleased to say the results are in, and Tony will be bringing a showroom F-Pace SVR 550 PS along for everyone to see on the day.

We have just received a cancellation, so we now have an additional place available for an attending Jaguar meaning we currently have 27 places available, with just 26 days to go.

Please consider signing up your Jaguar and joining us on the day :-)

We have also just signed up one of the most unusual Jaguars I have ever seen, and it is certain to be a huge talking point at the event... you have to see it to believe it, and even then you may not.

Lastly, don't forget you still have the option to sign up in advance for our 2020 event which has new additional fun features, more Jaguars, more Talks by the Pro's and more - just visit the events website at JaguarForumsUK - The free annual convoy & meet event for Jaguar owners, all the info you need is there.

Please feel free to take a look at our previous events to see what to expect, and what attendees thought of our event - we have a great Jaguar day out for you, and would love to welcome you to our 2019 event :-)

Ok it is this month! It is now the 1st of May, and the event is in just 25 days time.. time to take stock of what we have got sorted, and have yet to sort before the day.

Sorted:

All event paperwork has been designed and printed up
Both Venues have been confirmed
The layout at Denbies has been confirmed
Discounts have been agreed for food/drink at both venues
Weather checks are looking good so far
The majority of items for the Welcome Packs have arrived
Two awards are with me, one is being brought along by the 2018 winner, and the others on the day by their sponsors
Some prize draw prizes are with me
Event logo redesigned (OK, tweaked :-)) for 2020 event
Promotion of our next 2020 event has kicked off
Started resigning sponsors for 2020, and have opened for attendee signups

To Do:

Need to keep chasing Welcome Pack contents
Need to assemble Welcome Packs
Need to continue to chase a couple of event sponsors that have not got back to me ref pledged prize draw items
Need to run a final check with both venues a week before the date
Work more heavily on promoting our event in Europe
Need to kick of reviews section on event website

This isn't the complete list but is pretty much an overall view of where we are. I have two main concerns (as always at this point in things)
The weather - however the long range forecast has been steadily improving in the past few weeks,
The non arrival of some pledged prizes.

In every other respect everything is pretty much on schedule for us to have a great Jaguar day out :-) and our next event is already on the go :-)

A little more info for you guys regarding our event..As you know we launched a website for our event, hosted on Spanglefish, which is a free hosting site, using my own domain solidlinux.co.uk.

It's purpose initially was to carry links to old threads, photos etc from our event to ensure they didn't get lost, but it rapidly expanded to include everything from Christmas competitions, reviews, event news and more.

Whilst it does suffer with my web design skills - or lack of :-)) it is doing much better than I had expected..

Feb 2019: 32 page hits
March 2019: 1166 page hits
April 2019: 1322 page hits

A massive thankyou to everyone for putting up with my web design skills, and making good use of our event website :-)

It's Friday already, and we are just days away from our 2019 free Jaguar day out.

Our 2020 event has been launched and is open to attendee and sponsor signups. It has already been raising interest and we already have a number of sponsors that have re-signed with us, plus we have an incredible XJ220 signed up for the event already.

This is not to belittle our 2019 event - we have a rare manual gearbox F-Type attending, two customised Jaguars, a D-Type, an SS100, an XK140, and even a showroom F-Pace SVR signed up!

Also our event has been very active on social media this week, with our international following starting to grow - with the longer term plan to get not just UK clubs and forums involved but also European clubs.

As part of this I am currently working on plans to enable anyone who travels over for our event for future events, who will be without their Jaguar as a consequence, to ride with UK Jaguar owners that are attending so they can enjoy the event in a British Jag :-)

We are getting very close to our maximum limit for this years event, so anyone who has held out on signing up please, please sign up soon to guarantee your place on this years event.

Ok, here are this weeks stats, so you can see what to expect this year. please bear in mind I am not known for my prowess in the maths or statistics regarding our event, so there may be the odd mistake :-)

You have read all the stat's and seen what our event is about, and may well still be undecided about whether to sign up for our event or not, so I thought it might be an idea to quickly cover what is happening, planned, and the ethos behind our event - and maybe you will feel tempted enough to give us a go this year (or next).

Our event started with just six Jaguars, and as of this year has 160 Jaguars attending.

Our event is free, as in really free, to ensure that anyone from any background, or financial situation can attend a great Jaguar day out - all you need is a Jaguar!

All Jaguars are considered equal whether they be treasured classics, showroom models, or your commute/school run Jaguar.

Our event puts you in touch with trade specialists that we know and trust, clubs, forums and everything and everyone you need to know in order to look after your Jaguar whilst giving you a great day out :-)

This year we have the most models of Jaguar we have ever managed to attract giving you a chance to check out an SS100 from Jaguars early days, through to the iconic D-Type, E-Types, and even customised Jaguars - some so customised you may not even recognise their heritage :-)

At our event your Jaguar can win any of eight awards, one of which you actually get to vote on yourself, you can attend Talks by the Pro's teaching you how to look after your Jaguar even better, get must-haves at show prices, obtain loads of free advice from specialists about almost every aspect of your Jaguar, meet over 200 Jaguar enthusiasts, even test your Jaguar knowledge, join a convoy/drive through gorgeous countryside and enjoy a main event at the largest wine estate in England.

So many events say they are free but you pay for parking, or there are other costs - with our event your only costs are for food & drink (which will be discounted for attendees) and our prize draw which is just £1 a ticket. Everything else is free - free Welcome Packs, discount codes, free Christmas competition for attendees, free talks by the Pros, free advice, free awards, and more :-)

We only have limited places available for this year now, but if you are quick you can sign up and grab a place, or you can go to our website and prebook next years event which has more Jaguars, and even more features on the day - it is up to you..

All we need to know is your name or alias, model & year of Jaguar, and how many people will be in the party and that is it you will be signed up.

We may not have an event budget, or big companies behind us but our event has a big heart, a great sense of community, retains it's roots and truly offers everyone from any background a great Jaguar day out.. so go on, sign your Jaguar up and join us - it costs nothing to sign up or attend and we have so much to offer you..

Please feel free to take a look at our previous events to see what to expect, and what attendees thought of our event - we have a great Jaguar day out for you, and would love to welcome you to our 2019 event :-)

Please keep an eye on this thread at your favourite Jaguar forum, our event Facebook page, or via our event Twitter or Instagram feeds as any and all updates will appear there as we go. Additionally our event has a new website at www.solidlinux.co.uk giving you access to archived photos from our event, links to all our past and current threads, competition details, discount codes, and more.

Not off to a good start to the week with the first delivery arriving already opened, and the courier saying that it is not damaged, arguing with my wife on the doorstep. Hopefully the remaining deliveries will arrive somewhat better.. :-(

We now have just 22 places remaining for this years event, and only two and a half weeks to go until the day itself on May 26th!

If you know anyone that would enjoy our Jaguar day out (its free, don't forget) please get them to sign up before these last few places disappear.

Also, if you can't make this years event don't worry we are already taking signups for our 2020 event which will have 40 more Jaguars (that's 25% bigger than this year!), and even more fun Jaguar features than this years event - you would be amazed at what we can pack into a Jaguar day out for you :-) Full details of this years event, and next can be found at the event website at JaguarForumsUK - The free annual convoy & meet event for Jaguar owners

Good news :-)

Everything I am expecting for our Welcome Packs, and any prizes coming directly to me rather than via the event on the day, has/have now arrived!

I now have sealed boxes in the shed, in the downstairs hall, in the conservatory, and even at the top of the stairs.. Welcome Pack items, and prizes for the prize draw pretty much everywhere :-)

Going by how small my home has become, you have the best Welcome Packs to-date despite some of our sponsors being unable to scale things up for our increased numbers this year, which is incredible.

Don't forget to sign up, if you haven't already done so, for your great free Jaguar day out with of course, your free Welcome Pack to pick up on the day :-)
