Hi a jag meet sounds great I live on canvey island essex I drive a s type 4litre v8 on a 1999 plate I had my problems with the car but I addicted to jaguars my first one hopefully lots more people agree about the meet keep posted

We seem to be numbering towards double digits of attendees... it's probably worth trying to get the meet listed in the Brighton 'What's On' guides online and become an event :-)
If we were to fix the date as the 3rd November - who would be OK to come along?
If enough of us are OK with that date I'll see if I can get us listed as an official event in Brighton :-)

I'd be in for the 3rd Nov.

Just a thought: it's the Abu Dhabi F1 GP at 1PM that afternoon. Does anyone know of a 'sports bar' in Brighton that might be showing it, if we're done by then? And would anyone else be interested? A suitable continuation of a petrolhead day…

 

Unfortunately I am working both of those Sundays.

Re the F1 - Unless you desperately want to see it LIVE and need to know who wins it there and then, I'd suggest recording it and watching later to miss the adverts anyway ( That'll save about 30 mins of your life not having to watch uselss telly ads..lol )

AND - I've been advised that we will get another banner specifically for UK / European meet events, although chances are it won't be made in time.

I have asked for around 20 forum decals to be sent to you Steve, at your home address as we agreed. I'm beig told thats being done, so please watch out for them.
If that changes of course I'll let you know!!

Oki doki no problem. . . Ok we'll set the date a Sunday 3rd November with a 10.30am to 11am start time. Plan is a meet Madiera Drive on the seafront near the Pier in Brighton with fish and chips lunch. .
Anyone and everyone is welcome to come along on the morning but if so please drop a note in this thread to give an idea of numbers.
Additionally very open to anyones ideas for the day. Drop any ideas off here or drop me a line if you prefer.

 

Aargh just noted that the London to Brighton vintage car run is that very day. We could pick an alternate location on the route or go for the alternate date of Sunday 1st Dec. I am open to preferences that suit the most of us. I would personally probably favour 1st Dec.
Apologies but I had completely forgotten about the vintage car rally :-(

 

1st Dec is a maybe for me - I might be in hospital or convalescing.

I live in Essex with the wife and our S-type. Would be interested in a meet if its in our area, or Sussex. 1st should be OK.

Apologies for the delay in response my internet is down and has been for six weeks.
