One and a half weeks to go... any one else wanting to come along please drop me a line, or pop a post on here..

Just to recap it's happening on the 1st December 10:30am onwards - Madiera Drive on Brighton seafront.. Jaguars with the backdrop of the promenade - photo's for the Brighton newspapers and to go on here for all to see.. a chance to put faces to names, cars to faces.. and to socialise in real time :-))
If we can interest you at all please just let me know and we'll get you added to the ranks of those who are already listed as coming ...

Jim - sorry have been busy the past few days - I will drop you a line with an idea for the newspaper article that maybe we can implement, tomorrow or Friday..

Just over a week to go - and the long range weather forecast is for 7-12C, and dry. If it makes the double digits it'll be quite mild for the time of year...
The weather forecast suggests the days before our meet may be dry too, which will be good news because, as fast as I clean my Jag, it's getting absolutely filthy again in hours, with the current weather (and being four wheel drive am getting splashbacks up all four corners of the car - double the cleaning lol :-( ).. so a good chance I can give it a thorough clean up the day before :-)
Anyone browsing this thread - if you are thinking 'I'm not sure... but might go along..' please just come along and meet everyone!! The more the merrier and the more faces you can put to names and cars.. it is honestly a great chance to meet everyone, be sociable (in real time :-)), ask Mike if he'd be kind enough to read off any codes you need read, check out other Jaguar models and trim levels without getting odd looks, and have a great time by the seaside with pics on the forum and local paper to show you were there on our FIRST EVER Brighton meet!!
Just drop Jim or myself a line on here, or put up a post, or if you can't do either just turn up.... 1st December - 10:30am Madeira Drive, Brighton
I look forward to seeing you on the day!

Good morning Steve and fellow ailurophiles.

Still doubt if I can make it but will try. If I can't be there from start may be able to make it around lunchtime but would need to be able to contact to meet up.

Well done for all your hard work organising this meet and I hope all goes well.

If I am able to make it will bring my basic code reader also which may help share load with Mike.
Best Regards,

John

It's almost the day now... just to recap:
The first ever JaguarForums.com meet in the South East UK is happening 1st December - Madiera Drive on the Brighton seafront at 10:30am on Sunday 1st December.
It's a great chance to put names to faces and cars, socialise in realtime, exchange ideas, tips, maybe get those codes your car has been throwing read off, and just to have a great time by the seaside with the Promenade as the back drop to our Jaguar cars, photo's going up on the forum, and should also be in the local paper.
If you haven't already signed up - please do - just pop a post here in this thread, or drop a line to myself or Jim...
I very much look forward to meeting you all there on the day.

It's almost here - The FIRST EVER South East UK JaguarForums Meet!!

The meet is on:

Sunday 1st December - 10:30am Madeira Drive, Brighton, BN2 1PS

Additionally, if you want, some of us are meeting in Crawley approx 09:15 am on the day, then cruising down the A23 to the meet.

On the day we have decals to hand around should you want them, a UK banner to sign, photos to get for the forum, and the local papers should be attending for pics and maybe a story too..

With the backdrop of the promenade behind us, open sea in front of us, a chance to find out who is who, whose car is who's, and have a good chance to talk in real time and you never know maybe members of the public showing an interest too :-) Bearing in mind that we have advertised the meet on Brighton tourism websites as well as the local paper.

You will need to bring change with you for the parking - I would suggest bringing £10 of change which should be enough for parking and a coffee.. :-)

I have checked the weather for the day, and it should be overcast but dry - and cool with a temperature of 4 to 8 degrees, so bring a coat with you..

If you would like to meet in Crawley and cruise down please let me know and I'll give you the location.. also if you aren't listed yet as being interested on here and are thinking of coming PLEASE pop a post on here and Jim or I will get you added in..

So far we have cars covering 1988 to 2010 as far as I can see with everything from basic trim to fully loaded, from 2.5 litre engines up to 4.0 litres...

Hi all,

Gutted but I won't be able to make it. Just got back from New York where I managed to get myself engaged so will be doing the round of parental visits to show off the expensive sparkly thing this weekend.

Hope everyone has a good time and the weather holds out for you all.

Good afternoon Steve,

It still looks most unlikely that I will be able to make it . As previously advised I am Chair of a large youth football club, committed to Sunday youth football and an active supporter/coach of my grandsons team.

My only chance was if there were cancellations due to rearranged cup games, weather, etc, but at moment everything on track so unless major weather shift in next couple of days I am afraid I wont be able to attend.

If anything changes I will let you know and see you there.

Good luck for Sunday and I am sure that everything will go well , hopefully to be followed by many more such meets. Look forward to seeing lotsa pics (cloud storage?).

Best Regards to yourself and all involved.

John
