Wheel refurb
#2
Both Jim (Admin) and I have used The Wheel Specialist. This is a franchise with branches around the UK. There are other similar services available in most large towns and I had a choice from three within a 20 mile radius.
The one thing we both avoided was a mobile service. It would be difficult for anyone working out of a van to fully strip, repair if necessary, polish, spray and bake wheels to the same standard as someone operating out of fixed premises.

As per Graham really, although I have to add that Peter had his alloys refurbed by Wheelpro Scotland, who I have also used recently.
Both the Wheel Specialist and Wheelpro come highly recommended by me for sure.
Depends on the quality and durability of the finish required I guess and how much you are prepared to pay.
Again as per Graham I would avoid mobile alloys repairers as they cannot do the work to the same standard.
Sorry I can't comment on the people you mention Steve
