Default wynns engine flush

I have just bought a 98 xjr . I want to change the engine oil but before I do that I need to ask your opinion. Is it a bad idea to use wynns engine flush in these engines. would it do more harm than good. I say that because I own a vintage 50's rover and I know it is a big a no no to use that type of product in an engine as old as that but on the x300 would it be good or not. I'm to new the jags and im considered a little ocd to boot. lol

thanks for replies in advance.

I would just do two oil changes in quick succession - around 500 miles.

Whichever approach you decide on, change the filter each time. If you are stirring up c**p, you don't want a restricted filter.

No modern engine using modern oils in decent running order needs any additive of any type. There's basically nothing to flush out.
