Hi all,
Failed NCT on leaking front shock. I guess that means I need to replace both. I dont foresee keeping the car too much longer so I would be happy to replace with used shocks if possible.
Can anyone suggest a way to ensure that I get the exact correct pair of shocks? Its a facelift 2012 version, but I am not sure if the parts are different from the 2011 version
The appropriate place for TECHNICAL questions is the relevant MODEL forum - X250 for your 2012 XF.
A large variety of shocks were fitted to the X250 depoending on specification. To identify the "correct" shocks first depends on whether the vehicle is RWD or AWD. Next it depends on the VIN range:
Next it depends on engine:
...... and standard suspension or adaptive dynamics. There's a lot more to consider than just finding a pair that physically fit.
