Hello,

My XJ6 X350 2.7d had a "gearbox fault" lamp illuminated on the dash. Investigation showed a leak from the mechatronix seal. The garage drained the gearbox, replaced the seal and refilled with transmission fluid. Oil leak problem is solved, but now the car stutters from 2nd to 3rd and occasionally downshifts from 3rd to 2nd. This ONLY happens when the engine is cold. If I stop and restart the engine after 1, or 2 miles the car is fine for the rest of the day. Has anyone else experienced this problem, please?

Please accept my apologies for posting this in the wrong place. I don't really understand how these forums work, although I do know that there are specific areas for specific questions. I was simply following the other questions that had been asked in the thread under UK and Eire, hence my answer to the reversing camera question. Sorry.

Is the question now in the right place, or do I have to start again?
