Dealer Selling Paint and Interior Protection

I just recently puchased a JAG F Type.. all of the dealers were attempting to sell me - during the buying process with the additive paint and interior coating - anywhere from $800-$1200. Is there any merit to having this done on the new car - or better, less costly alternatives? Does the Jag need furthur protective coating on its new vehicles?

My advice is not to have it done...........These are generally very expensive for what they are and usually don't amount to much.
You'd be better served paying probably a lot less and emplying a pro detailer to do any work required.
Please do yourself a favour and check out the detailing section of this forum & perhaps take a look at detailing world for more thorough answers on the subject

Agreed! Some dealers will even say it has already been done and they can't take it off. When the car is sold then they will put a coat of wax on the car along with a wipe down of a "leather treatment" $20 at the most cost wise. It is just another way some dealers will scam more money from you.
