Jaguar Meet-Atlanta area-Sat May 1st

BTW, another heads-up, we just got our first 2011 XJ-L today. Beautiful car in person. I'm sure there will be a good number of customers out on Saturday just to take a look at it. Hopefully we can block off a bit of time with Bill Clark or one of the other salespeople to show the car off to you guys.

Sounds like its gonna be a great meet for you guys and Dan has kinda pushed the boat out too it seems. I'm hoping for a great turnout and please remember ALL to take your camera and take plenty of pics of the cars and yourselves to share.
I'll be keeping my fingers crossed for good weather for you
Lets keep bumping this thread to keep it alive and at the top of the new posts section...who knows it may get some last minute interest from other / new members?

Hey guys, looks like they're showing a 30% chance of showers until noon tomorrow. Fingers crossed!
I'll likely be in and around the office until 10 AM, running April's month-end numbers, setting up the tent and such. If you have any questions or need directions, feel free to give me a ring here at 770-664-4408.

NOT COOL
I'm sorry to have to do this. I can't make it this morning. The kids have swim lessons and my wife didn't make it back in town yesterday, as planned. I told her that they are going to have skip lessons this time, but that really didn't go over well. I couldn't see her face over the phone, but I could picture the evil eye just the same.
Please, please, please take a lot of pictures.
I'll see what I can do about holding back the rain for a bit - no promises ; )

Dan,
Thanks for setting up the venue - it was a good first meet in ATL - and you'll have to post if that was XJL was ordered or not after the long test drive?
I hope we can do again in another few months, it was good to see that I am not the only crazy cat owner that commutes nearly 100miles every day.
And a quick message for Jim, the things you saw holding my headliner in place are called 'saggy stoppers' headliner repair kit, part code HU-850 - they come 8 in a pack, and I used about 14 - if you do an internet search you'll find them on places like Amazon - not pretty, but has done the job for the last 12 months.

Dan,
Thanks for setting up the meeting. Starbucks, hot Krispy Kremes and Jaguars - what more could you ask for? I certainly learned a lot from the guys in attendance. I look forward to the next one.
David, thanks for the tip on the headliner repair kit. I'll look them up and give it a go. Likewise, it's good to see another crazy cat owner who puts his car to good use on a daily basis.

Matt, unfortunately, I left my camera sitting on my desk, so I didn't grab any pics. But we had a good turnout of an S-Type, two XJ's, two XK's.. I think that's it, if I remember correctly. It sprinkled all day, but not enough to warrant standing under an umbrella. We all hung out outside and just BS'd about these cars we love.
BTW, I'd invite anyone to try and organize a meet. You should go for it, Matt. I have done this thing previously with different manufacturer clubs, and as long as you have a common place like a restaurant or a dealer willing to lend you the space, it's a piece of cake.
