Default Shops in Charlotte, NC

Hi all, new member, first post. I'm relatively new to the Charlotte area and I'm looking for a reputable Jaguar shop. I want to avoid the dealer as much as possible, as I almost always have an unfavorable experience there. Can anyone make any recommendations? Any guidance is most appreciated. Thanks!

Several members in the Charlotte area so hopefully one will chime in with some advice on good shops in the area. You can also do a customized search in the regional section for repair shops in the Charlotte area - I pulled the following (although dealer) by doing a quick search:

as this is your first post, please take moment and make an introductory post in the new member section - let us know a little about yourself, your car model and year, etc. New Member Area - Intro a MUST - Jaguar Forums - Jaguar Enthusiasts Forum

Hello,

I've only been to V-12 once and that was about a week ago. I got a pre-purchase inspection performed on my 2004 XJR-S. They spent about an hour and a half going over every inch of my car. When the report came back they gave me the full run down of what was needed. Nothing was immediately necessary, but when I was ready I had some options to either have OEM replacement parts or save some money on equivalents. With my limited knowledge I'd say they are a good independent shop.

Cheers,
Norman

Thanks NCamie! I have been doing my own research over the weekend, and I also came across V-12 Motorsports. I appreciate the recommendation, always makes you feel a bit more comfortable.... Gave them a call this morning and scheduled for tomorrow. Seemed nice over the phone. I'll post my thoughts on service after the visit. Philhef: thank you as well, but Hickory is a little bit too far away for general service.

Thank you again for the referral to V-12 Motorsports. I had a very pleasant experience, and will be returning to them in the future. I had a synthetic oil change and vehicle inspection completed. They gave me a small list of items that need attention (a couple of which I was already aware of), and helped me prioritize the repairs by importance. Very nice guys, great customer service, and they were very knowledgeable about my car.

Hey there, I thought I would throw this out there for you.

Uptown Imports
2324-A Distribution Street
Charlotte, NC 28203

Really nice guy, he's got some cool old cars out front and shot the breeze with me for about an hour.
Scanned all my XJR's systems for $68.00
I have not had him do any work on the car as I like doing it myself. He and his staff were very knowledgeable.

Scott Jaguar, IMHO, has some excellent techs. The shop prices are just a bit high as to be expected.
Hope this helps.
