I have arrived, A bit early. So far no rain her and some actual sun light!

 

 

3 of us made it, Ingo, Blindside and me. Of course the weather was bad once again and it rained on us. We got cut short and didn't get pics. I have to say I really enjoyed it. Blindside has a very nice XK and may have scored one of the best wheel deals I have ever heard of. Ingo is all in on his STR with sweet black wheels as well. Both guys gave me great tips and ideas. This was fun and I would like to see what its like with good weather and a good turn out.

 

And they say November is Florida's driest month...

 

I know right! And last week was the same story, rainy weather.
It was short due to the rain but fun, Blindsides XKR sitting on 20 inch rims and Triads STR with color matching wheels both look awesome. Unfortunately there wasent much time to take pictures. And Im sure if weather had been better there would have been a better turn out. Looking forward to the next one, with good weather and at least 5-10 of us there. I have a friend who is a professional photographer, next time ill invite her and she can take some nice pics for us.

 

I'd love more info on your Boca key guy. Just lost my main set of keys a couple weeks ago, and I hate only having one left.
I'm a newbie to the forum, and I'd also be interested to know about any get-togethers that are coming up in Miami and vicinity.

 

I will try to find the key guy's number and post it... and check out the other post we have going in this same section about a meet we are planning in early February in Boca at a English car show.

The key guy is actually in Tamarac but he does have a mobile unit in his van so he could probably meet you somewhere midway... his name is John and the company is QicPic Locksmith @ 954-722-2930. I called him on my 2001 xk8 and he didn't have the key so I ordered one off of eBay for $12 and when it comes in I will call him back to cut and program the key (I THINK he said it would be $50 for that)... Hope that helps!

 

Hiya guys late days I know, but I recently bought a lovely, low mileage 2006 STR which I have fallen head-over heels in love with (and happily, so has my wife!). I would love to meet up with other Jag enthusiasts in the area when I return to florida in the fall. I am in Jupiter and will be happy to travel a bit or even host a rendezvous. I am working in the NE (Connecticut) for the summer and went to two superbly organized and thoroughly enjoyable events put on by the Jaguar club up here.

I can only imagine that, with our sterling environment and diverse population we could get together a group of treasured automobiles and captivating people!! Presuming that we have a pretty large number of Jaguar owners in South Florida, who would be interested in putting together a meet of some sort? Track day at PBIS? Rally somewhere between Stuart and the Keys? Concourse ? I will admit to a fair degree of ignorance as regards the strict technicalities of any of the above venues, but I would be more than willing to help organize such a thing, if we can find the requisite knowledgeable individuals to assist.

I am thinking that somewhere in the area of Thanksgiving might be an idea. Any interest out there? Hope everyone is having a great Summer!
