Tampa area tech
Hello All. I'm new here and joined for probably the two most common
reasons. 1, I love these cars and 2, now could use some help with some
issues. Does anyone have a technician recommendation in the Tampa
area. I don't trust dealers so was hoping to avoid J-of Tampa.

Charlies is good, Suncoast Jaguar in Largo is ok... But honestly, I go to Crown Jaguar in St Pete and they are really good and Dan the service manager that takes care of me is stellar.
I had the same coil issue as you did, Crown Jaguar wanted $1100 for that and some other engine work. Luckily, the service manager called my extended warranty company and bitched till they paid for it.

I have been to Crown Jaguar 4 or 5 times and have absolutely nothing good to say about them. And actually, the previous post is the first I have heard from anyone who had anything good to say about any of the crown dealerships.
I live in North Pinellas county and drive all the way to Sarasota for service.
I brought my car in multiple times and each time I received a Kia or a Hyundai as a loaner car , and the last time it had stained seats and a smell that I didn't really notice until I was in the car for a while
Then they kept my car three days !!
I know, I should have just brought it back , but I didn't think anything they would give me would be better
I was told Jaguar only gives them $30 a day for loaners so they offloaded it to Enterprise
PS I came in with an XK and Wilde Jaguar in Sarasota uses new XF's as their loaners and were shocked to hear about Crown's policy
If I broke down right in front, I would have it towed somewhere else
