I have not found one yet. I have a great Mercedes mechanic that takes care of my other car and I will probably get them to work on it if something comes up. Brakes, AC etc can be done by most. If it is really a unique Jag problem I can always go to the dealer. The Mercedes shop does all types of european cars. Eurotech on Military Trail North of Okeechobee in the Tire Kingdom Plaza.

Highly recommend Dave Abbott of Tell-a-Friend Automotive in West Palm Beach. While he is not a Jag specialist, he has taken care of my 1997 XK8 (and other cars of my own or family members/friends) ever since the Select Edition warranty ended. He has handled everything from wheel bearing replacement to the convertible hydraulic lines to replacement of my ecm and abs modules last year (he shipped mine off to a rebuild specialist I found, then Dave reinstalled at nominal cost.)
Very honest and very thorough - and somehow the bill is always less than I expected.

I am new here and found this on a search. I just bought an S-Type R and before that have owned only Mercedes. As mentioned above, Eurotech in Delray has done great work on my and my father's Benz's. Not sure about the Jaguar knowledge but they always have a diverse collection of German cars they arer working on when I go there. I moved too far north (Palm Beach Gardens) to use them anymore. Boca is too far too but if this Jag Doctor is that good, maybe I will use them. Still looking for a place in PBG/Jupiter area. I think I know of one that I used to pass with lots of Jags out front, next time I drive by it I will get the name to see who has used them.

I cant find how to edit my above post. Anyway, the place I pass in Jupiter from time to time I believe is called All European Auto Repair, 1350 N Us-1, Jupiter, FL 33469. Anyone ever use them? I never have but would like some feedback. It would be perfect for us guys in PBG/Jupiter area if it turns out to be a good shop.

Picked up my car from All European Auto Repair few mins ago. Car only has 55k miles when I bought it a few weeks ago but whatever these guys did for service it runs a ton better. I will write a separate review once I have the time (I just got home). Lots of nice cars there, Bentleys, AMGs, many other Jags....

Are you talking about All European Auto in the Jupiter/Tequesta area? I have not heard good things about them, plus their $125 per hour charge is a bit steep in my opinion.
Most things can be done by a good mechanic, no need to spend that kind of money.
Plus, I sat in their waiting room for 1/2 hour and listened to the absolute crap that they were telling people on the telephone -- gave me a real bad impression. Hard to believe they would do this in front of a customer (me).

I'm looking for a new Jag mechanic. The guy I was going to is an idiot -- sorry, that was unnecessary. I guess I'm just a bit disappointed since at first I thought I had found someone I could trust and then little things started to tip me off. First, he did an oil change, charged me a reasonable price but the next time I went in he said that the reason the first oil change was so inexpensive was because he forgot to charge me for the oil filter, so the second oil change cost me almost $15 more because of the cost of the oil filter! Seems a bit expensive to me!
Second, I asked for an estimate for changing the valve cover gaskets and plug seals -- he said it would be 8 hours of labor and $1,200 plus tax. I said no, of course. After mulling that one over for a few weeks, I stopped by yesterday just to see if maybe he had heard me wrong and quoted something other than a gasket replacement -- no, that was the right price and it would definitely take 8 hours. I'm going to call the Jag dealer just to see what they'd charge - people on this forum seem to think it's a 2 hour job, and I tend to agree.
Third, my guy owns the local tire shop, but turned it into a full-service mechanic shop. He no longer sells tires in the shop, but of course he'll get them for you and put them on. So, I decided to see what he'd charge for one tire (I know, bad idea but even he said that I really only needed one tire -- it was damaged due to my negligence for driving it almost 3k miles with a slow leak and too little air) -- after clicking on his computer for a moment, he quoted me $188 for the one tire, of course that's mounted, balanced, valve stem, everything but tax. He charges $26 per corner for the "extras." That's on the high-side in this area, some places charge as little as 1/2 that much.
So, I feel like this guy is trying to screw with me. I'm tired of it, so I need a new mechanic. My mother in law's Jag mechanic just retired, bummer since I liked and trusted him. The other local place is the place I talked about above in another post, so that one's out of the question. Boca is too far to drive.
I might consider going to Stuart but would prefer one between West Palm Beach and Jupiter/Tequesta.
Any suggestions?
Thanks for listening to my rant.

I use Foreign Auto Repair-owner is Ermanno- on 12550 S. Military TR in Boynton Beach.I find him to be honest and he has done some pretty major work on my 1999 XJ8 at what I think was a fair price and got it right the first time.I find it worth the 10 or so miles I travel to get there.I hope this helps you.
