The parking lot at Katie's is being worked on, but at least it wasn't dust-covered, like it was last week. The asphalt was all cut up, though. Still, there was a crowd there early, and the parking lots eventually all filled up - all the way around the block.
One interesting vehicle was the 1959 Cooper T-51 F1 car. This one actually competed in F1 in 1960 & 61.
A good number of Jaguars there today.

Car Crash: Bugatti Veyron Hit by Truck in New York City
Apparently the same Veyron from a few weeks ago was involved in an accident with a truck in NYC just a few days ago! Sad!

Week-to-week, we regulars never know what to expect come Saturday at Katie's, and holiday weekends throw another variable into the mix. While good weather certainly helps, you never know who is out of town for the holiday. Today, we lucked out - very good weather, and a good turnout, of a great variety of vehicles - including a nice group of Jaguars.
The first photo, to me, shows the breadth of what you can see at Katie's. Yes, that's a tubbed-out drag racing Nova, following Allie's F40 out.

P.S.: Do not miss out on the big Jaguar get-together - 'A Pride of Jaguars', at Fair Lakes on Sunday, Sept. 22, 8:00AM - 10:00AM -

Some amazing cars there today. Here's a hot rod, made by a guy named Moal. It has a Ferrari F550 V12 engine& transmission, and is completely handmade. A very interesting company -

Next is a 1937 Alvis Speed 25.
Finally, we had a Batmobile!

As perfect a morning as I can recall to drive with the top down. Many people had the same thought as I did, and showed up in Great Falls.
How's this for a Jag turnout? I especially liked being able to see the E- and F-Types parked next to each other. I'm not a big fan of the black 'F-Type' front fender graphics, but I guess you don't know until you try it.

A great turnout of Jaguars there today - Cheryl F. was at Katie's for the first time, in her XKE. She was the third car there - a real accomplishment. (She was there by 5:45AM.)
By the way, that last picture is of a rare XJ - right-hand drive 4.2, with stick shift!
