Thanks, Steve. I really want to organize a Sunday rendezvous for Jaguar owners at this venue, sometime when the weather clears. Back on May 20th last year, a bunch of Jag owners met at Fair Lakes, and went to lunch at a local restaurant. I wasn't an owner then, but hope to do this with the group this year.

Some spectacular pieces of work - just stunning! I just joined the local Jag club so hopeful for some upcoming events - so far I have found NO local shows of any kind and aside from this past Saturday - we have had some awesome weather to support such an event.

 

Hey Bob!! Thanks for keeping us all up to date on the C & C. I will, hopefully, be able to add my "jag" to the list soon so maybe we will actually have 4 jags in attendance!

With lots of business travel, a nasty chest cold, and with the lister down and out with a cooling issue (again ) I have been "sequestered" in my garage every spare moment re-doing the entire cooling system yet again. I fabricated a fan shroud, added a new HUGE fan (i modified that too for more air flow), welded on a larger hose tap for the supply line (see the photo below) made new larger diameter aluminum coolant lines, flushed the entire system, moved the oil cooler for clearance and am now trying to get it all back together.

Anyway, hope to be out soon!

Clear skies this morning, and (relatively) warm - in the 40's, even at 8:00AM. That's great weather for late February, and it brought out lots of people.

Once again, we had 3 Jaguars in attendance - my XK, plus n XF-R and an XJ. In addition, lots of variety - an Exige, several Ferraris, Vipers, 2 GTRs, many 911s and Corvettes, 2 NSXs, and even 4 Fieros.

Very nice! Our local C&C did something this weekend I thought was worth mentioning.. I have yet to meet any of these people but I have joined their Facebook group and saw this:

"Ladies and Gents,

I have a friend named Sean who I used to work with that recently found out he has terminal brain cancer and has taking a pretty rough turn for the worse as of late. He has a wife and 2 kids and a mutual friend of ours is looking to bring him out to Cars and Coffee on the 23rd. Sean has a huge passion for cars and I was wondering if anyone would entertain taking him for a couple rides if he can make it out on the 23rd. It would mean the world to him as he doesn't have much time left. Let me know if anyone is willing to do this for him. Thanks in advance!!"

I had the only Jag in attendance - I had to drive the green car for St. Patrick's day. The turnout was good, helped by the appearance of a group of local hot rodders.

A nice showing today, but the only 'Jaguar' in attendance was Bob W's Lister Jag replica. We have to make arrangements for a big Jaguar get-together at this location, some Sunday. What do you think?

*** Shameless plug: I am organizing a Lotus and Lotus-related get-together at Fair Lakes on Sunday, April 14th. I have confirmed that XKRs from 2010 on, as well as all XKR-S had chassis and suspension work done by Lotus. I'm still checking to see if any other Jaguars qualify as 'Lotus-related'. We will have an area set aside for Lotus-related cars on April 14th at Fair Lakes, and there will be a prize given for the 'Best Lotus-related' car. ***

Easter Sunday, cold and overcast. We got started around 8:15AM, had a respectable group show up, and I left at 9:20, when it started sprinkling. Here's some of what was there... I had the only Jaguar there today.

Sunday (April 7th) was an incredible morning at the Kohl's/Starbuck's C & C. Over 160 cars made the trek!!! It was a bit breezy but that did not deter the attendance. We overflowed the Starbuck's lot into the main Kohl's lot. Did not get any pics as I was too busy looking! Only Jag there was Mike P's fabulous black XKe. We did have a mint Sunbeam Tiger and several new Lotus's but that was about it for the Brits.

Not sure what more to say to get folks to come out. Give it a try, you won't be disappointed!

I was pretty busy with my Lotus group today, and our turnout was very good, but the general Cars & Coffee has gotten enormous! Here are a few general meet pictures I got today, plus some Lotus pics. I couldn't have asked for better weather today.

I met the nice gentleman with the XK8 today. I am trying to put together a Jaguar mini-meet for Sunday, May 12th at this Fair Lakes location. Is anyone interested in meeting up here, and going to brunch?
