Are we still planning on having a Jag meetup in September? I vote for September 29th as all other weekends in September I will be getting married or out of the country.

If you are getting married on more than one weekend, leaving the country may indeed be a wise move...

Some would even suggest that part be done FIRST .....

 

Sorry, Alan - the one Sunday the Jag gathering WON'T happen is the 29th of September. I have multiple commitments (no, I'm not also a serial-groom) that weekend, and I've been told I must not miss the mother-in-law's 80th birthday...

It would be interesting to see a lineup of XKs from the XK120 to the Series I E-Type to the XJS to the modern XK.

What's interesting to me about the modern XKs is that they seem almost as low as the original ones.

This morning, we had a Lotus cars meet alongside the Fair Lakes Cars & Coffee event. Here are some pictures from this morning.

Having the Lotus meet-up at the C & C yesterday was really cool! It was great to see so many Lotuses (Loti???) in one spot. This event is really growing. The lot is usually almost full every Sunday and occasionally overflows into the adjacent lot! It is a very friendly and social crowd. If you have not checked out this low key local venue, you should - you will not be disappointed!

Reston Town Center - opening ceremony is 10AM, awards & closing are at 2:30PM. Lots of beautiful Jaguars on display.

Sunday, Sept 22, 2013: A Pride of Jaguars, right here at East Market at Fair Lakes. 8:00AM - 10:00AM, with optional brunch nearby to follow. Like the Lotus event we just held, this is a one-marque event that runs alongside the 'normal' Fair Lakes Cars & Coffee. Drive your Jaguar out, meet other Jaguar enthusiasts! Crazy British cars - every once in a while we get some great British cars that may make some of you cringe but I just love! Bob C. had a pic of one of those from two weeks ago. However, he didn't show you the best part.

What looks like a Triumph GT6 with some body mods is a whole lot more.....

Check out what resides under that hood (yes, that's a big block American V8)....Very cool car....sounded awesome...must be insane to drive!
