I try to never miss Katie's. This morning, it was in the 60's at 5:30AM. Spring is here!
Here are some vehicles we had not seen before - the Chevy Woody was very nice. UMBC brought two Baja Buggies, this one with the sidewall-less tires. Mike, here with the Ducati he just bought back after about 20 years, plans to take this bike to El Mirage Lake this summer, to seek a class world speed record with it - good luck!

It was 49 degrees and raining when I arrived at 5:30AM - it was still 49 degrees (though not raining) when I went home at 7:30AM. I met a couple of friends for breakfast, and we left when it became apparent that most people stayed away. Still, there were some interesting vehicles... including a Jaguar.

Another beautiful morning, another terrific turnout at Katie's. It still astounds me that we regularly have vehicles none of us have seen before! (That gold Alvis certainly qualifies!)
Not quite the large number of Jags there this week, but not bad. I did not get a picture of the E-Type OTS that took my parking space when I left. I have included pictures of two DB7 brethren, for good measure.

It rained early this morning, but cleared up by 5:30AM. That always causes people to arrive later than usual to cars & coffee. I arrived at my usual time, and was the first one there, by almost 10 minutes.
For some reason, there was a bumper crop of Jaguars there today!

P.S.: I checked with the owner of the XKR-S, and he said it was stock XKR-S when he bought it - he had the graphics added later.

Torrential rain pretty much all day Friday meant there were flooded-out roads around the area Saturday morning. We had some people show up at Katie's, anyway. We were fortunate that it didn't rain at all from 5:30AM to about 7:30AM. Attendance was light, but we still saw some interesting vehicles, including a '56 Chevy wagon we'd never seen before! Bobert brought his XKR Coupe.

Proof positive that it was a circus today at Katie's... That's a fiberglass replica of a VW bus, driving on its side. Made by the same guy (SpeedyCop) that brought you the Toyota van with the Cessna airplane body. Both are 24 Hours of Lemons racers.

P.S.: By the way - do not miss the DC area ABRR... America's British Reliability Run -

Was fun, the black 2016 F-Type R is mine. New owner and this was my first meet, I had no idea what to expect and my wife was not getting up at 5 this time so I had to do it alone, lol. The hard part was not racing all the vettes and mustangs home that wanted to play with the snap crackle and pop of the big cat!

What a difference a week - and weather - makes! While we had a fabulous turnout last week, along with excellent weather, it rained last night, and it was overcast this morning. That meant fewer people at Katie's - but it was still good. Only one Jaguar there this morning, but it was a particularly nice E-Type Coupe.
