Default Best place to get my 1967 XJE restored

I’m north of Philly. Don’t have nearly the skill level for this.

Did some internet research and found a couple of places that might work - Ragtops and Roadsters is pretty near me. There is another one called Lipincott’s in Sinking Spring. Does anyone have experience with these?

I am also willing to go further out or into another state for the right type of expertise.

Hi,

I realize your post is several months old now, but, thought I'd offer my thoughts, anyway. Lipincott has a very good reputation. Have you heard of Monocoque Metals in Northeast, MD? They may be of help.

I'm in both the DC area club and the Shenandoah Valley Club and I would second the reference to Gassman in Waynesboro, Va. Also, these folks who are a bit east of Winchester, Va. like Gassman not all that far from I-81, also have a very good reputation: https://whitepost.com/#hometop ... if the link doesn't work, just look up White Post auto restoration and you should find it.

Default E type restoration

I have known Mike for 40 years and have had much experience with him.He is very fair, charges a low hourly rate for the quality and quickness of their work. His cars have won nearly any concours they have been entered in.They have done many E types,Ac’s,120’s,140’s,150’s,etcGive him a call or better yet a visit to his shop,it will be very worthwhile and may be of great benefit to both you and your car

If I recall, a car Gassman prepared won a Pebble Beach concourse a few years ago. Don’t recall the type of vehicle though it wasn’t a Jag. But Pebble Beach ain’t chopped liver!

Thanks for the intel. My experience with 3 "restorers" has not been great. I'll try them.
