Good weather today. If you didn't show up, did you miss anything? Nothing, unless you consider any of the following vehicles interesting:
A 'real' 289 Cobra.
A 1911 Stanley Steamer.
An Elan Sprint.
3 Lamborghinis from the local dealer.
A Farmall tractor.
A pig.
A BMW 3.0CS.
A Rossion.
All in all, there must have been around 200 cars there today, with the amazing variety we've come to expect of this venue.

Of course, the event has grown. As it grew, those who wanted to get the best parking spots in front got there earlier and earlier. I looked thru all the pictures I have taken, and it looks like 7:00AM was still about as early as anybody arrived, through most of 2010.
Over the past year and a half, getting there at 7:00AM often doesn't guarantee you a spot in the front parking lot. The upside is, we often have 150-200 of the nicest cars, trucks and bikes you will see anywhere.
Cars & Coffee events have proliferated throughout the area, and the country. In just Maryland & Virginia, we have a choice of no less than three major C & C's every Saturday, as well as another three every Sunday. I encourage all car guys to discover which venue and event they like, and attend often.

Look, I know it's ridiculous to get up early on Saturday, to be at Katie's well before 7AM, to get a good spot. Today was a good example of why so many of us do it each week. A great day for cars we hadn't seen before - when you see what was there, you'll be sorry you didn't make it out today.
Only one E-Type there today, but five Jags in total.

A cold but clear morning. Fewer attendees than previous weeks, but still a good 150+ cars, and we continue to see vehicles that have not been here before. Have you ever seen a Rally Fighter? The new local dealer brought 2 to Katie's today. 430hp Corvette V8, mounted under the dashboard, RWD. Quite an off-road vehicle, but street-legal, too.
When you don't show up at Katie's on a Saturday morning, this is some of what you miss...
Yes, that is frost on the TR6.

Of course, we had several Jaguars in attendance today.
I'm wondering, if we continue to have reasonable weather, can we organize a larger showing of the marque? We seem to have a loyal 4 or 5 owners who show up, and often a couple more for good measure. It would be good to see a dozen or more. Who's game?

I'm trying to discover what method works best to organize a mass showing of Jaguars. It might be too late this year, but I'd like to see if we can do an organized turnout of Jags a couple of times a year. I've organized these events the last two years for Lotus, and we have had a great time.
