Calling All Jaguars! A Pride of Jaguars!
Come on out to our get-together, at East Market at Fair Lakes - Sunday, 6/7/15, from 8:00AM to 10:00AM. See lots of nice Jaguars (and other vehicles, since we hold this next to a very large Cars & Coffee), and meet some great people... Many of us go over to The Blue Iguana for brunch afterwards, and you have the whole day afterwards to drive around!

Now that another 'A Pride of Jaguars' event is in the books, I wanted to thank everyone who came out. We had an amazing 31 Jaguars in attendance. That is lower than our current record, 36 cars (including the beautiful XJ220) in May of 2014, but an impressive number, since we were in competition with the Lillipons car show, and a Dawn Patrol drive today.
Though we were scheduled to get started at 8:00AM, several people got there early. We had a little overcast early, but not even a tiny threat of rain, ever - just the weather we ordered!
We had a great time, between chatting with fellow Jaguar owners, and discussing our cars with people who wandered over from the Cars & Coffee event adjacent to us.
We had a popular vote for 'Favorite Jaguar', and the winner by a wide margin was the oldest Jaguar there, Tony & Jeannie Figg's 1955 XK140.
Craig Faunce of Rosenthal Jaguar will be sending Tony a Jaguar polo shirt.
Thanks to all our sponsors, who provided us gifts for this, and for the door prize drawings - Rosenthal Jaguar, R & R Auto Service, Odds & Ends Detailing, and Curry's Auto Service. Much appreciated, by all.
Oh, and a special thanks to Jaguar Forums, for sending out an email blast to lots of local users - we were actually able to identify several attendees that found out about it thru their efforts.
14 of us went over to The Blue Iguana for our traditional after-APOJ brunch.
A sad sidelight - we will have to find another venue for APOJ 6, tentatively scheduled for Sunday, Sept. 27th, 2015. As we were dispersing, a Fairfax County police officer came over to let us know that the property agent for the lot had asked that the weekly show (and all car-related events) be shut down. This is due to burnouts and high-speed runs by several individuals, over the last several weeks. The property agent later talked to Bob Williams, and told him that anyone assembling a car event here would be ticketed. (It's private property, so that's that.) No more car events at Fair Lakes!
Aside from the bad news after the event, I had a great time, and hope everyone else did, too!

Worth It!
Thanks! Looks to me like you do your share of organizing, too. It's a lot of work, but in the end, still fun. How else am I going to meet such great folks?
