I keep getting the check rear lights code on dash. but i have checked bulbs and wires and all is working. I also had a friend stand behind the car with the check rear lights was on and every light works my blinker my rear fog or whatever it's called and both left and right brake light and regular back lights work as well. and my reverse light works and the third brake light works as well i am stumped and have no clue. does anyone have any suggestions or have the same problem?

I would again check the bulbs, not to see if they are working, but rather to see that they are the same wattage. I would also check the grounds.

This is a 9 year old thread. Posting TECHNICAL questions in the REGION forum is not the best choice. You will get more help posting about the issue in the relevant MODEL forum.

Hello

Yes I was able to fix this issue by replacing both lights. Come to find out that a bulb may not be out but puts out lower watts.
