Yeah, make the trip. It's a straight shot up I-94. You don't even have to drive up all the way. They have shuttles to and from park n ride lots right to the grounds. Very convenient. Plus, depending on when you go they usually have daily specials where you can either get in free or at a reduced price depending who is sponsoring the promotion; like bring a can of food and get in for half price before 3pm. Those sorts of things. Huge fireworks show on July 3rd too, but it is really really crowded that night most years. Or buy a three day pass and hang out. Lots of stuff to do there in the summer. Miller Park is awesome too. Love the place, but it sucks in the winter. My car takes a beating with teh snow, salt and potholes.

Hi guys I live in Carol Stream. How are you guys doing? I drive a 1993 XJ6 and it has 74000 miles on it. I am having some trouble with it but hopefully get it purring again soon.

We should have a mini Jag meet sometime this summer. Would be nice to meet some fellow forum members.

Yeah, that sounds like it could be fun. Maybe somewhere up north of the border here in Milwaukee and we could tie it in with a visit to Summerfest. http://www.summerfest.com/flash/#.

You say that but I've been successful for over a month now without you being any wiser to my presence.

I knew this Army training stuff would pay off eventually.

Greetings to Chicago,

Just a general question, was there much buzz before or after the recent IndyCar race at Chicacgoland Speedway? Whether you are a racing fan or not, I'd like to know if you had heard or seen much advertising or coverage pre and post race. Thanks!

If anybody in your neighborhood needs any large parts delivered, I'm coming to Chicago to pick up a couple of transmissions next week. Send me a PM with your requirements if that is of interest.

JagTech, for what it's worth, in the Milwaukee area there was virtually nothing. There might have been a samll ad or two in teh Sports page of the paper, but that was about it. Can't say I remember seeing any commericals on TV promoting it either. Granted, Milwaukee is not Chicago, but I would think it would be a regional draw. Have seen a lot more advertiements for Road America this year though, thank God............

JagTech, thisI'll probably have shipped anyways but do you have a rear chrome ashtray cover from an X300? How about the black plastic strip that divides the center console wood trim just rear of the shifter?

Hey Chicagoans! I just bought an 06 XJ8 Vanden Plas, live in Green Oaks (Libertyville/Gurnee) area. Sure don't see many Jags in these parts- part of what attracted me to the brand.

Anyone have suggestions on where to get warranty work done in the north burbs??

Scott
