Howdy all. Just got a 2006 XJ8 and I live in Eagan. Haven't decided on whether I am going to park it or snow tire it for the winter yet. At the moment though, I can't bear the thought of not being able to drive it for 6 months

My XKR goes into storage at the first sign of salt. My previous "fun" cars have always been put away as well. It's going to hurt at first, but it goes away. Then, it comes back around mid-january when it gets to the ugly part of winter, but typically wears off through most of february. March is the real killer, if there isn't an early spring, you start finding ways to justify taking it out for "one quick spin, then I'll wash it right away!" As long as you know what you're up against, you can prepare. Buy a fun winter beater you can enjoy thrashing all season, mine's an Audi allroad. It makes the time go faster.
